Brass
It is a heavy duty brass nozzle and should stand up to the hot weather here in Yuma.

High quality, works great, second purchase
Product is made from brass so no cheap cracking plastic parts. The nozzle and fitting connecting to the hose are encased in rubber. This is great as it doesn't damage the boat when dropped. This is the second time I purchased this nozzle.Last one worked great until my grandson unscrewed the nozzle and it dropped into the ocean. You have to rotate the nozzle a total just over 6 revolutions to have it come off. Normal usage is about 2 revolutions. After 4 revolutions water starts leaking behind the rotating nozzle so you know you have gone too far. Absolutely no fault in the design. It was a operator issue. When told to "Turn it this way" it means, 'Turn it this way' not 'That way'.Hahaha we've all unscrewed the nozzle to replace the internal oRings.Great quality, robust design and worked perfect up until the nozzle was unscrewed way too much and it fell off.

Superstar!
Oh my gosh, I love this little sucker! I have another old hand held sprinkler that I like but I have three hoses so I thought I'd pick this up and see how it worked. First hurdle, would it fit the hose? No problem there - it screwed right on, no dripping at all and then I turned on the water and it was like there should have been orchestra music! The low end of the pressure sprayed in a lovely, wide, all-compassing spray and when I moved it all the way up to full out, go for it, spray pressure it almost flew out of my hand! No kidding, I was stunned. I have old dogs that are pretty much not housebroken so I buy those washable rugs that you can soap up, spray down and let them dry to clean them - well, look out rugs, you're gonna get blasted with this baby. I am thrilled with this product and they're not that easy to find.

Good brass hose nozzle
This is a good brass hose nozzle that works well. My only complaint is that it does not have a sufficiently gentle spray for more delicate plants, it's force is high regardless of the setting, even when opened up to a spray or sprinkle.

Great grip on a twist nozzle
The nozzle is very easy to use and I really enjoy the grip as I can use it one handed and easily adjust the spray based on what I am doing without having to put down other tools or objects I have in my hands.I actually didn't realize that the nozzle also has a press mode where you can press it on the nozzle and it will adjust the spray for using it on flowers and the garden. I found this mode very useful so that I am not blasting my vegetables.I also enjoy that they added grip on the handle for screwing it on the hose. This makes it incredibly easy to switch it from hose to hose with ease. It is very affordable.Highly recommend this for use in the garden and my dog loves the different spray modes for drinking and playing in.

Easy to adjust, rugged in build quality
Ease of adjusting spray head and no need to turn to a "stop" when shutting water off! Shuts off before it stops turning (a good thing)! Rubber coating on nozzle protects the metal surfaces. Best nozzle I've ever used...don't cheap out with something of less quality that won't last long...don't ask me how I know!

So much more durable
I've gone through A LOT of spray nozzles in my decades of hose wielding. Most of them break in their second season. Plastic parts are a big reason for this I've observed. So,I've found the brass construction to be vastly superior. But also, the twist instead of trigger design has far fewer parts to fail. Even all-metal trigger-style water shooters have a tendency toward joint failure. (Don't we all?). Plus, setting the nozzle to "stay on" is foolproof. I've had loads of problems trying to keep the "hammer" cocked back to keep the spray on, with trigger-style nozzles.Bottom line: you get the same, full range of spray patterns without failure-prone parts.

Solid, dependable, works well
Season after season I rely on my Gilmour brass and rubber hose nozzles to deliver the right hand watering to my garden plants or to clean filters, wash a car, etc. I have three hoses and each has a Gilmour nozzle, plus a spare. Have tried many brands over the years and this is the best value and performance. I'm tough on garden supplies and have hard use on my tools. This is a good one.
