Club Car Heavy Duty Forward and Reverse Switch (1996-Up) DS 48-Volt Golf Cart

Works great, yes it's heavy duty. The bus bars are easily twice as thick compared to the cheaper $50 versions and made with copper not cheap steel. The controller is made of some kind of composite material unlike the cheaper version made with basic plastic. Cost more but worth it.

iNSTALLED FAIRLY EASY AND HAS WORKED PERFECTLY

Easy install, works great! Good price makes it better to replace than try to clean all the contacts. I put it on a 1999 Club Car DS. Take pictures from all angles to ensure you know what wires connect to which contact point. As some people have pointed out, the red wire is capped and not used.

The product is as described but there is no wiring diagram. The wires are not the same colors as the original switch. If a wiring diagram was included then it would have been 5 stars

My golf cart was giving me intermittent issues that got progressively worse over time until it just stopped working. The issue started with the golf cart just not responding to the gas pedal every once in a while. Then it got where it would not stay in reverse once in a while. Both problems got worse over time. Turns out my old switch was going bad. I put up an install video on my Youtube channel WJ Handy Dad so you can see how easy this is to DIY.

I purchased this switch to replace one that had failed. It was slightly different from the original but went in fairly quickly. The price was good.

Drove cart once a week for 20 min for 3 years, so that is about half a year of light usageI cleaned terminal and it workd or awhile. This part is too important to have it fail so early

Exceeded quality of construction against previous replacement forward/reverse switch’s.Having pre-wired pigtails eliminates the weakest link of the switch.Never thought Amazon would end up my “go-to” resource for Golf Cart parts. But it is impossible to beat.
