Excellent ! Works great !!

I purchased this after losing my original remote in a move. It works exactly as advertised for my Sony STRDH590 5.2-ch surround sound. Months after moving, I found the original OEM remote (pictured on the right). They are nearly identical except the Replacement is made in China, OEM is made in Indonesia. The replacement has IR behind a plastic IR shield (pictured on top), OEM has IR exposed (pictured on bottom). Replacement is a bit more square while OEM is more rounded. Quality of the button printing is better on OEM but it is clear on both. All in all, this is a reasonable price for a nearly identical remote that functions just the same as the original. I would recommend.

I bought an open box AV receiver from Best Buy and it came without the remote control despite supposing to have one). I bought this remote because in my experience it’s an expensive hassle to buy an OEM replacement. Anyway, so far I have no problems with this remote, and without it I wouldn’t be able to do much with the receiver such as change the settings. It’s a good substitute.

It’s definitely a cheap knock off but it works perfect, it’s still great for an inexpensive replacement. Made of much cheaper materials than the original Sony remote, not the greatest build quality.

Looks and works just like the original.

I bought a second hand stereo receiver and it didn't have a remote. Sony wanted over $100 for one. I didn't pay that for the receiver itself! I stumbled upon this and I'm glad I did. When it arrived I popped in batteries and accidentally pushed the power button when putting the battery cover back on and the receiver came to life. No coding, no issues.

This replacement remote is not quite the same as the original equipment from Sony.

Does your family break or lose remotes? Mine does. I just got a new receiver for the first time in twenty years, and the first thing I did was buy one of these for that fateful day when ours goes missing or gets smashed.

Quality built remote, no issues with using for my amplifier. Would buy again!
