Can it be used for scuba? I cannot find depth rating...

That’s a good question I actually got mine to go inside a pelican case. It holds my funeral documents and some mini awards that I received while I was in the military for 21 years, so I wanted to find something that was fireproof waterproof, and even earthquake proof, so there’s not a lot of stuff out there, but I would say good luck on your future endeavors because me I wouldn’t take it underwater, I don’t think it’s submersible proof but a good question to ask the people or the one to that their submarine imploded. Maybe they had one of them boxes on board along with the PS five controller.

LOL - I wouldn't step on it. But my guess is you could put a 20 lb weight on it.

Does this float when filled?

Yes, although I didn’t test it for an extended time, it floated on surface easily
