Dritz Mighty Travel Steam Iron: Mini Iron for Quilting, Crafts & Sewing, Compact Portable Travel Steamer for Home & On-the-Go Use

This little iron is great for crafts or to touch up clothes if you want. I have a regular size iron but I like to use this whenever possible. It is less hassle to use than the full size iron. The quality from Dritz is good and would recommend.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:New addition to my traveling sewing box. It gets nice and hot and love the steam feature. Light weight but heavy duty to handle any ironing tasks. I take this with me to sewing classes so I don't have to wait for the community iron to free up. Small enough to keep right beside my machine during class.

I purchased this steam iron to take on vacation where I was not sure that an iron would be provided. It is light and compact. It fit well in my carry-on. It did a good job removing wrinkles as well as providing steam. Once I figured out which way and how far to turn the dial to achieve the steam feature, it worked quite well. Comes with a small container to measure water so that the iron does not get overfilled and a carrying bag with draw string. Heated quickly. Would purchase again.

I had the original SteamFast iron that looked just like this. Unfortunately, after a couple of years, it was one of the ones that actually caught on fire, so I had to toss it even before they were recalled. The replacement irons I've gotten since don't get hot enough to even make steam; not other models of SteamFast or even the expensive Oliso mini steam irons. Since none of those replacements were satisfactory, I made the decision to try this one and I am so happy I did. Finally, a mini iron that gets hot enough to make steam and press seams adequately. I love this iron but make sure to unplug it when I'm done so it doesn't catch on fire, just in case.

Purchased as a birthday gift from her list, and used regularly now while sewing/quilting. Loves the size and the convenience, especially when used with the ironing mat purchased at the same time. She does not need to pull out her full ironing board and large iron.
