Beautiful product. Well made. Very happy. Bought as a gift. If anything, it’s a little hard to scratch off the gold. It’s very easy to damage the map underneath so be careful.

Definitely worth the extra money compared to the other scratch world maps that I looked at. The packaging tube came inside of a rectangle box with a bit of paper around it. I didn't keep it from shifting back and forth, only up and down (lengthwise) of the box. There was no damage to the tube and absolutely no scratches on the map. The map also had a sheet of paper over it to protect it while in the tube. The map material is either plastic or just laminated, but it's definitely strong enough that there won't be any tearing while scrathcing the foil off. Additionally, it came with a pick looking things to use for scratching, several pin flags, and a miniature postcard. I The very outside border took a little extra time to scratch off, but the rest was simple enough. Also, I used a tea towel to gently wipe the foil away periodically. Lastly, a lot of the small island clusters aren't all named individually, of course, so I needed to reference an acutal map to make sure it was the right one. Everything
