Excellent peanut powder
This product is fantastic and has clean ingredients. I love that it blends so well in my breakfast smoothie. Excellent protein source and low in fat. What's not to love?! The peanut taste itself is not intense due to the fact that the oils have been removed.I read a previous comment stating that the company claimed the product was sourced from Canada. Canada is in North America, as is the United States. Canada has a higher standard when it comes to what is acceptable or not acceptable in their foods. They have the CFIA which is the equivalent to the FDA in the states, that overlooks animal health, food safety, and plant protection. If sourcing products is extremely important to you, ask before you buy. Don't slam a company because you didn't educate yourself.I will always buy and trust Canadian products. I live in the US.As stayed above, this product is fantastic. This company is fantastic. I have purchased multiple items and have loved every one of them.

Excellent peanut powder
I've been searching for a peanut powder to replace the FreshFinds brand that I was able to get at BigLots...now that they've closed and cannot order online...my search led me to MicroIngredients Pure Peanut Butter Powder. This is pure peanut powder, no sodium/sugar added...P U R E. I start with 60g and add one of the following: honey, sorghum, molasses or maple syrup to sweeten...nothing more than 2 tsp...and enough hot coffee to moisten into a creamy spread.I eat this daily with my banana...incredibly delicious, full of protein, very satisfying.Again, this is pure peanut butter powder, so if you're conditioned to taste peanut butter as salty and sweet, you'll need to adjust your end-use recipe. Don't hesitate to order the 4# bag, you can split it up into smaller airtight containers, date each one and save for at least 12-18 months. Excellent value.

Mixes very well with water, has little taste. Good product.
Mixes very well with water, has little taste. Good product. Digests fast. I drink it with just water. I find it good to mix with other proteins. It is half the price of the cheapest, quality whey protein on Amazon yet is a very good quality. I drink so much protein powder that I wanted to research a way to reduce costs and found this. Doing one serving of this with a serving of whey should still give you 50+ grams of protein and I find it much easier on my digestive system too while saving some money.

"Unflavored" does not equal flavorless!
It's not bad for the price, but there are a few things to note that, had I known them before I purchased this, I may not have. One, pea protein still very much tastes like powdered peas, so you won't be throwing it into random recipes like unflavored whey isolates without completely ruining the flavor. You'll have to be creative and add it to savory things like soups or broths. Or beat some in with a few eggs to make a pretty killer "protein pancake" that goes great with sour cream, salted butter, guacamole, or even chili on top.Another important issue: pea protein only contains 8 of the 9 essential amino acids, so you can't live off of just this as a primary source of protein. Especially if you're a gastric sleeve owner like me, you'll need something more complete, like whey isolate. That said, I'm still using this up, slowly but surely. It's not all bad, given how cheap it was, and does the trick when used sparingly and appropriately. Just... well, go into this knowing that it's not just some run-of-the-mill flavorless protein powder you're gonna willy-nilly throw into any- and everything to enrich your diet. That's an idea you'll quickly regret. I'm not sure if that's just THIS brand or ALL pea proteins, hence I'm not about to knock it down too much for that.Like I said - I'm using it up, one way or another; I just won't be ordering more, and that's probably no fault of the manufacturer. If you know what you're buying, then I'm sure it's a fine product. Just not for gastric bypass patients and/or the uninitiated, like me.
