70 watt COB LED PANEL
Extremely bright dimmable 70 watt 12 volt COB LED light! Comes with a remote that works from quite a distance away. No heat sink required.

Needs remote battery to function properly.
Works well if you have a battery for the remote. When I first tried using it the light was set to strobe which makes it basically unusable. Otherwise it has decent control and brightness.

Really bright and the difference between 12 volt and 14 volt input is HUGE
This is a really broad, bright panel. It's sturdily made, with a great aluminum backing that should be able to serve as a built-in heatsink in environments that are not too hot and provide good air circulation. The vendor description says the built-in panel is a sufficient heatsink up to 12v, and in many situations that may be true. But the difference in brightness between 12 volt and 14 volt input is huge - the amount of light easily doubles. I connected the input wires to a standard 5.5mm connector and hooked it up to my bench power supply to check it out. It's nice to be able to twiddle a dial and drive the panel with different voltages. I'll definitely hook this up to run at 14 or 15 volts with an external heatsink. The remote control is quite effective, but I can tell that stepping down the brightness works by cycling the LEDs. At percentages less than full brightness, my power supply buzzes and I can see some flashing in the cells. In most situations, no one will notice. But if you're using this for photographic illumination it can lead to dark and light bands across your picture unless you shoot at a long shutter speed. Again, this is not a problem with the unit. Rather, it's something to keep in mind based on your intended usage. I would think that the best use of this panel is to seat it on a full-sized aluminum or copper heatsink panel and run it at a contstant 14 or 15 volts. If you need to be able to dim the unit and your application doesn't involve higher shutter speed photography, you can safely use the the remote to step the light output down. Whatever your choice, remember that the difference between the 12 volt "safe-to-use-without-a-heatsink" input and the much, much brighter 14 or 15 volt input using a heatsink is tremendous. I would definitely recommend this LED light panel if its properties match your needs.

Great quality
Great quality light. The light is bright and the remote works perfectly.

get out your soldering iron
By itself, this LED panel is not very useful. One must have a power supply to produce current of about 15VDC (which amazon also sells). The output of the power supply must be hard wired to the LED panel (seee above for use of soldering iron or other hard connector). I have installed three of these and a pleased with their brightness and the fact that they come with a useful remote control. (The remote control, for reasons I do not understand) allow one to set the LEDs flashing at selectable frequencies. I have no use for such capabilities and people with photosensitive seizures should take note.) One is not required to have it flash and I mostly use the remote for on/off. One can install a power switch for on/off, either at the power source or install one in the wire going from the power supply. If you install a switch and turn off the power, the LED will come on again when power is restored (assuming one did not turn it off using the remote control.) Some LED lamps will not come back on when power is restored but must be turned on again at the switch, making them ill-suited for auto-timers.

Pretty Nice
I almost gave this 5 stars but two things prevented it. The company was too cheap to provide a battery for the transmitter and I feel it would be unsafe to run it on full bright for very long, I think it would fail due to over heating. 50% brightness is still quite bright and although it gets quite warm, it does not get hot on a 70 degree day. Battery: It is specked to use the CR2525 but I found the thicker CR2032 will also fit and work fine. Current specs at 13 volts: High: 2.5 amp / 25 watts 50%: 1 amp / 14 watts 25%: 1/2 amp / 6.5 watts Low accessed via the dimmer function: 120 ma / 1.5 watts. Off / Standby: 20 ma / .25 watts. I got it to use in a tent so I don't need anything more than 50% which is quite a bit of light and low is great for a night light. As can be seen, this cannot be left on a battery for very long periods even in standby. This would smoke really fast if it was actually 70 watts as that would be over 6 amps. The back is a relatively thin sheet of aluminum with no way to mount the suggested heat sink. Extra features: It has quite a few strobe modes and all the features are easy to operate. This remembers the last light function selected when powered down and will start up exactly as it stopped. Be ware: When I powered mine up, it was 100% bright and in the strobe mode. For my use, I'm very happy with my purchase. I think it was pretty pathetic that they not only did not provide a battery - but they failed to state that in the description. The claim of 70 watts was an obvious lie and all LED sellers do this.

Remote sensor fails .
Having to change my review is disheartening. 3 out of 4 of the lights have failed, specifically the remote function. I believe the RF remote sensor attached to the light is not robust enough even when running the lights with 11v..

Light works ok
The problem is. The remote does not work. I removed the battery protector and it still didn’t work. Turns out there was no battery in the remote. How about sending me a battery or something.
