A lot of dirt gets in it

After I smashed my Macbook Air screen by dropping something on the plastic Apple logo on the rear of the screen, I bought this to stop it from happening again. However, repeated removing and reinstalling the screen case (so the laptop would fit in my desk tray) led to damage to the screen hinge so I would be very careful of that. Was a bit disappointed that the product I bought to protect my mac ended up doing more damage, but I guess I should have predicted it with how frequently I was removing the shell.WORTH NOTING: This is not a problem with this product in particular, as this is a risk with EVERY screen shell, this is just the case I ended up buying.CONCLUSION: A very protective case, but did end up damaging my laptop through extensive removing and reinstalling.

I bought this as a replacement for one I'd demolished over the last few years. I was disappointed to find I couldn't buy the same again - it's no longer available. However.... very pleased with this one. It fits perfectly (even better than the one it replaced) and looks great. NOTE: I've realised that the reviews here related to different colours and finishes. Mine is the 'crystal clear'. I've tried some of the matt finishes, and sent them back; they do mark with every touch. I wasn't expecting the keyboard cover, so that's a bonus. It doesn't look great, but as someone with a 'dirty laptop' habit, I appreciate it! It doesn't get in the way, and it'll keep the crumbs out of the works!

When I initially got this, I was over the moon. It fitted like a glove. However, a year or so in, and I find that it is literally crumbling apart. Every time I open my laptop, another piece of plastic drops off. Mostly from the corners, but the cracks are beginning to encroach into the main body. At one point, a piece fell off and landed between the screen bottom and the main body. I didn't realise until I closed the lid, heard a crack, opened it again and there was this piece of plastic and the screen, broken.I take care of my computer as it cost a lot of money and I need to have it available all of the time as I am a photographer and a music teacher. That means. it is NOT subject to travelling abuse as it is in a bag that is in itself, protective. That means, double protection. So I do not recommend this product as it won't last.

Shell arrived promptly (Thank you Amazon and seller)I bought the black version, it is slightly translucent so I can still (just) see the Apple logo)It seems to be well made and IMHO looks amazing.The bottom shell clicked on fairly easily ... but the top shell (for the display) was ... difficult. It took me a few minutes of massaging/pushing/pulling and eventually what seemed like forcing it to clip on.At the end of the day though I recommend this item.Not too expensive.Seems fit for purpose.

Great quality cover. Unfortunately lower cover doesn’t clip over left side. Followed instructions, checked and rechecked 😏

This is still going strong. I like that it is clear, sometimes you don't want any fuss with a coloured or pattern case.Very durable and it is a clear case, not a cloudy pretend clear case.
