Sony IT VAIO Keyboard Skin for E Series Laptops - Purple (VGP-KBV3/V)

I really liked this product as soon as I saw it and I knew that I had to buy it for my new laptop. I sometimes eat while I am doing some homework or simply browsing and I knew that I did not want my brand new laptop to get filthy with bread crumbs or anything like that. I really got used to it very quick. I also like the idea of just taking it off, clean it, and put it back on like if it was new. Delivery was great as well and got here between the days that I was told it was going to be here. The only reason why I give it 4/5 stats is because I know that my sister gets annoyed with it and she cannot type so sometimes it will be hard to get used to it. It depends on how easily you adapt to a new keyboard. Thank you Sony!

I've had the purple keyboard skin for my Vaio for about a year now and it's safe to say I absolutely love it! It has saved my keyboard from so much dirt, dust, and oil/grease. Unlike other reviewers, I have not noticed any problems with it starting to lift away from the keys or bunch anywhere (IE near the arrow keys). It has layed flat since day one, even after wiping it down countless times. My parents liked how it worked so much that they each bought one for their laptops. Some things I have noticed; if you have a back-lit keyboard, the use of the skin will completely hide it. So if you do much work in the dark - a skin isn't for you! Also, it reduces typing time by a lot. If I have to type something quickly, such as a paper for school, I will take the skin off. The 'naked' keyboard is much easier to type on. However, for everyday typing, the skin doesn't bother me at all.

I'm so glad I bought this at half the price of Sony's because it just sits on top of keyboard; flimsy yet practical. It seems to be a very thin silicone-type material that perfectly matches the Sony VAIO keyboard keys. It will serve the purpose of protecting keyboard and isn't as cumbersome as I thought it would be to type on. Just takes a little getting used to. For my "power typing" I'll just get a portable keyboard, but this will save my laptop motherboard just in case I accidentally spill something on it. Great service from this seller at bargain price. Very happy.

So far the keyboard cover is working wonders. It fits perfectly, and stays put over the keys. The only complaint I have so far is that if you have a backlit keyboard, it will not allow much light to pass through the skin (at least in purple). But other than this, it works very well.

This is awesome! I was a little skeptical before I got it as to how it would feel. It does feel different at first, but I got used to it very quickly. I love how it is so thin, and fits so perfectly, that it looks like part of the laptop! My mom saw it and thought my laptop came that way.It is very cool and I am happy to know that my computer is protected from dust, liquids, and even pet fur. I would definitely recommend this.

I love the feel and the ease of using this skin. I only wished the color matched my vaio more. The purple is not as much of a dark purple as I thought it was, but the color is pretty. I may opt on buying a black skin, but this one will do.

Although I do have a powdery feeling on my hands after using it, it does the job of keeping my keyboard clean. It fits perfectly over my Sony Vaio laptop (EA 36).

I bought this to protect my keyboard after a spill ruined my last laptop, but after just a few days I found that my typing was slowed down substantially and my fingers became tired more quickly. It fit the keyboard perfectly and was very thin, so I was expecting to like it, but it made too much of a difference in my typing. Plus, the backlit keyboard feature was eliminated by the skin. Unfortunately, this is going back.
