This product won’t work for that. This is an oil that would need constant application for the outdoor usage you discussed. I would recommend a more permanent stain for outdoor use.

Razor tip on box cutter knife really works! Pry under the edge of inner cap all around until it lifts. Easy to push back in place for storage.

Q: How to mix for insects repellent in the garden

I use it in combination with orange oil. Mix 1 tbls cedar oil, 4 tbls orange oil, couple squirts of dish soap, in 32 ounces of water in a squirt bottle. This is for a straight up alternative to poison/bug killer- probably too strong to use directly on plants.
