Fits the need for a weather resistant and light jacket
I bought this jacket primarily to serve as a wind and wet weather shell for walking and jogging in the moderate Seattle climate. So far it has worked perfectly for this purpose. In addition, it looks smart enough to wear generally on other occasions. It is long enough that it covers most type of shirts that one would wear on the outside of pants. I wear a medium size, and this fits me perfectly (I would say that it is old school medium and not the inflated medium size of recent years). Note that it is narrowly tailored, and it would probably not fit over a bulky sweater or other heavy layer. It has a thin fleece lining which provides adequate warmth in cool temperatures. In spite of the weather resistant outer layer it seems to breathe well, and I have not overheated in it while out jogging. I have not been in a downpour yet, so cannot comment on water resistance.I have some minor complaints: the lapels don't lie completely flat against the jacket when partially unzipped (they are a bit rumply), and the garment has some wrinkles that won't go away (you are not supposed to iron it). Maybe things will straighten out a bit after the first washing. All in all I would recommend it to anyone for a light weight jacket.

Great Material and Perfect For Early Spring
Got this jacket for the high 40s / low 50s type weather and it's perfect. It's easy to see the quality of the jacket with tight stitching and really excellent waterproof material. The color is a little brighter than what's showin the picture for the green, but it looks good. Fit is good - I'm 5'10" and 168 pounds and the medium is perfect.

Perfect jacket for my needs.
I was looking for a light weight, lined jacket for casual wear and this seems to be it. The jacket fits well, looks good and is perfect for the cool winter days in north Texas. The only thing I would change would be to eliminate the zippers on the two side pockets. Would be more careful for warming hands. The smaller pocket on the top left side is also zippered and is a good location for a cell phone.I'm satisfied with the jacket and recommend it.

Pockets....
The jacket looked well, the color was a good representation of the pictures online. However, the side/hand pockets zip upward, so they it pull on it-self when you attempt to zip closed, very annoying. The breast pocket is a handy location to put your cell phone, but the zipper zips in the upward position and is also awkward to function.

Finally, the Perfect Light Jacket for California Weather
I've been looking for a great all around go-to jacket, and it's been a couple of weeks of volatile weather in SoCal and this jacket is holding up well in slightly warm to moderately cold weather. It's also been highly windy and this has been my go to jacket. This jacket is light with a felt-like lining that covers torso to neck - arms are lined with different material (I don't know what but it's not felt). It does run a little small around the arm/shoulder/trapezius area I'm a 44-45 inch fat spattered chest, but that's more my needing to lose some weight like 15-20 lbs, so it's on me and not the jacket.Love this jacket and have had it for 2-3 weeks, but I foresee long happy uses.

Decent
It's an ok jacket. It's inexpensive. Looks and feels comfy. A little big though.I got the large and I'm 5'10" and 195 lbs and it's a little baggy. Good for layering up underneath.

Form & Function
This is an updated version of the excellent Columbia Men's Venture Creek jacket. This Columbia Men's Utilizer II jacket is perfect in moderate to cool weather. It repels rain and cuts wind when needed, but it's also perfect on sunny autumn days. Looks great pared with a black Kangol cap. For athletic men, this falls nicely from the shoulders, providing dignity and grace to the wearer. This is a versatile, flattering, comfy, and classy design that would look great on anyone. Enjoy!
