Illiad is great Greek olive oil. It is a richer smoother taste than the rest for cooking. From the Kalamata region. Cold pressed within 24 hours and the taste is evident of the care and quality. It’s not Portuguese olive oil for appetizers with their distinctive flavor but it is the best Greek olive oil and well worth this price IMO.

Amazing olive oil. Noticeably richer flavor. It’s pricy but a good value compared to price per volume of smaller jars in grocery stores. I got two to get ahead of the tariffs but I don’t think it’s going to last me as long as I thought- not because it’s a small container but because I’m using it more often because it tastes great.

when i researched Oilive oil, i know it is best if its certified as single origin. that it best if purchased in a can because it doesnt allow light in to degridate it in anyway. flavorwise i know that Greek oilive oil has peppery notes. this is all we've used since we switched. it is also the only single origion certified i can find that i know of. very good quality.

The oil is very good, very fruity with a mild to medium peppery finish in the throat. It is a very good quality evoo. The first time pour is a problem; do it in the sink.I will buy this again and would recommend it.

Taste is great but the canister came dented

I stumbled upon the Iliada brand Extra Virgin Olive Oil when I was Googling "top olive oils in the world". It had won some competitions, and I figured, "why not?" I'm always searching for good EVOO.Our household uses a lot of EVOO. A lot. [see photos] We buy what we can afford, and we buy in large sizes when it goes on sale. I'd been pretty content with the olive oils I've chosen for the past few years, but that was until my significant other brought up the question of quality of our oils, and that it wasn't "real olive oil". This made me question my existence. Was I so closed-minded that I was sure the stuff I was using was good enough? I was. I needed to try other things, I needed to try EVOOs from around the world, and see what the rest of the world had to offer.This led me to this 3-liter tin of EVOO, made directly in Greece and imported to the US. Based on the reviews, I took a chance. Yes, it's about 1.5x the price of my other olive oils, but if it tastes as good as it cost, it would be worth it. I didn't buy a smaller amount because like I said, we use a lot of oil.The first test was making fried shallots. I'm not sure if you've ever made or tried fried shallots with EVOO, but it's like 3x better than fried onions rings. (I'll post a recipe later.) Now, I'm not an olive oil connoisseur, but I already knew what fried shallots tasted with the oils I've used before, so I would have a reference in terms of taste. Well, this Iliada EVOO does not disappoint. The cooking smell alone of shallots frying in this oil filled me with euphoria. When it was all cooked and done, I'm not using anything else (or until I find something even better).I have since switched my olive oil dispenser with this oil. Since it is pricey, I've decided to use it for more special dishes, and relegated the other olive oils to regular everyday stuff. Try it today; this oil has earned its spot as one of the top EVOOs in the world. Recommended.

This is very good olive oil with a neutral taste. We use it to cook everything. The packaging was great the exterior well padded and not dented. Arrived in perfect shape. I used the helpful tip to open it up properly and it was very easy and no spill. It smelled amazing and very fresh. Definitely recommend

Really good quality and very tasty
