These lanterns are great in every way! They look good, are easily porable and the size is perfect. Can be very bright or dimmed as needed. Easy and reliable. So glad to have had them through multiple power outages during storm seasons in Fl. Great price. Bought 2 more.

Super handy. My lights went out the other night when I was still wide awake cooking and these were still in their boxes. I remembered where they were immediately and popped the batteries in, and voila, light! I have a rather small apartment and four of these were more than enough to light the place up. Good value with the two for one thing going on with nice size and sturdy enough quality with what you're paying for. Not sure if these would be great for camping though... they seem a little dinky.

Nice quality and works well, light output adjustable, lightweight, magnetic - can be positioned sideways on a metal surface for hands free, carry/hanging handles. Comes in 2 pack with batteries included - a nice plus. Price was great. Only negative is that when light output is adjusted it still uses up the same amount of battery power (lighting is covered up instead of being turned down).

These lanterns are small, measuring 5.5” when closed and 7” when fully open, but they give off a ton of light. Recently needed to use them because Southern California Edison shut off electricity due to high winds. They use 3 AA batteries, included, and come two to a box. The magnets on the bottom are strong. Tested this out by sticking one to the side of the refrigerator, no problem (although I don’t see a time I would ever do this). Besides emergencies, these lanterns could be useful for just sitting around outside if one wanted some light. Their small size makes them ideal for transporting and not taking up much space. Storing them in the box they came in.

I recently purchased the Gearlight Sunlight lanterns two pack when Amazon had them on sale. I was pleasantly surprised at how well just one lantern lit up my living room with an open kitchen. Definitely enough to weather a temporary power outage. Two lanterns will light up the area quite nicely. Since the number of lumens are not documented anywhere, I would estimate that the lanterns shine about 300 lumens. The brightness can be adjusted by raising or lowering the center column of a lantern. The column is quite secure in its movement. It stayed just where I put it. There is no light switch. The lantern turns off when you lower the column all the way into the base.One nice touch is the inclusion of six Duracell batteries by Gearlight. They should last a short time while you see how well your lanterns will work for you. Unfortunately, the batteries are made in China so they probably will not last as long as batteries made in the USA. Only batteries made in the USA are warranted by Duracell, and will outlast batteries made overseas. This has been well documented. You probably should purchase additional batteries for your lanterns upon your receiving them so that you will have a set ready to use when the enclosed batteries wear out. Be sure you purchase batteries made in the USA whichever brand you get.All in all, I recommend these small lanterns very highly. They provide an amazing amount of light for their size, and they are quite well made. A Bright Idea? Try and catch them when they are on sale at Amazon. If you can get them for $19.99, then they are quite a bargain.

We really like this product because it puts out a lot of LED bright light when its on. There's a hook to hang it up, handles to carry it and there's a magnet on the bottom if you need to attach it to something metal. It does require AA batteries so keeping those on hand is important. It is lightweight and collapsible and can be used in all weather conditions. Great light for camping or for using in the shop when you need to illuminate a work space.
