Solid light strip, great price, a minor adhesive issue, but not enough to pass this by!
I'm a relatively new convert to the wonders of bias lighting, but I'll be using them whenever I can from now on. Since the product detail is pretty clear on what these do, I won't repeat it all here. I will say, however, that the impact these (and any) bias light strips have will depend on how close you have your TV to the wall. I have a strip from another company on my bedroom TV (a 40"), which is only about two inches from the wall, so I put this strip on my living room TV (50"), which is a good eight inches away from the wall. Both distances do a good job of enhancing the blacks of the screen and reducing eye strain, but the former works better when closer to the wall.As for this particular bias strip, it's pretty darn good. The LEDs are nice and bright with a color temp that leans toward the cool side of the spectrum (my preference, for sure). The adhesive seems to be holding up well, yet was relatively easy to pull up and adjust while I was putting on the strip. One end of the strip was coming away from the light side - I noticed when I went to pull up the tape covering the adhesive to stick it to my TV and it started to come away from the lights. It was easy enough to fix without the need for glue or anything else, but it looks like it might have been a minor manufacturing defect. The power cord is nice and long, which is useful if your TV, like mine, doesn't have a USB port. The only real "complaint" I have with this kit is that it doesn't come with a power brick. I know the intended use is to plug directly into the TV for power but adding a brick in for folks like me with slightly older TVs without USB ports, or for people whose USB ports are already full (for whatever reason), would be nice. I doubt it would cost much more to put in a decent brick. Thankfully, I have several bricks lying around, so it wasn't a big deal. All in all, this is a great light strip that provides nice, bright bias lighting, at a great price.

Well...
I was excited to get this and try it out against the wishes of my husband who likes the dark. Went to stick it on my tv, absolutely not sticky at all after peeling the brown paper off the back of it. So i guess I'll be Jerry rigging it so it will stick to my tv. I wanted to order more to use around the house, but I'll be checking out other brands. It's a nice bright light though.Update:This lovely company sent me a replacement light and it works wonderfully!! I love it! I advise you to please be careful pulling the paper backing off the sticky part, the sticky wants to come off with the paper, other than that I LOVE THIS light! Using this light on a 65 inch flat lcd tv. wasn't sure it would be enough, but its perfect!Thank you again, i do recommend this company!

I'll start by saying that if you've ever questioned whether or not you need something like this, ask yourself if you watch movies on your TV in the dark. The LED light strip really helps to improve the ambiance of the room if you do, and I would go as far as to say that yes, it does reduce eye strain to an extent. Don't let the overly photoshopped second product image give you any sort of false expectations...if your room is that well lit, you are -not- going to some perfectly square glow around your TV.In the time that I've had this product, the one and only time that I've been able to notice a significant amount of light around the TV has been either with every light in the room off, or dimmed as low as they will go. I'm currently using the strip on a 50" plasma mounted to a wall, so it isn't a matter of my TV being too large or standing out in the middle of the room, either. I found that the optimal placement for the strip is as close to the center line of the TV as you can get, as this distributes the light evenly...and trust me, uneven light distribution looks -very- awkward behind the TV.Other things to note, the box states that the product comes with a remote...it doesn't. It isn't a deal breaker, but it's disappointing to see incorrect statements on the box. Worse though is that both the box and the product's page state that it comes with a USB wall charger in case your TV can't support the proper amperage to use the light. Once again--it doesn't. You are literally getting one light strip with a USB connector. For the price however, it's tough to beat this strip. Will it change the way you watch TV? Probably not. Does it look really cool and will it impress your guests? Probably--I know that I think it looks pretty cool at night at least.

Only lasted 11 months
Worked great out of the box. Good color temperature. Guessing about 6000K? I remember choosing it because of color temperature but the ad no longer states color temp???Either way the lights have tuned an ugly yellow and are very dim. Worthless.Of course there is no information about warranty. I assume it is less than a year though.Disappointed.

5 stars if it worked properly
Was impressed taking it out of the box and using it for the first time, but after having it for a few months, it's been a bit of a let down. We only use it for movies in the dark, so a majority of the time we have it off, and turn it off/on from the little built-in button switch. This switch doesn't always work. It'll turn the light on, but it won't always turn it off, so I end up unplugging the USB plug from the TV. I cleaned the back of the TV as best I could with a damp rag followed by isopropyl alcohol, then applied plenty of pressure to make sure the adhesive stuck to the TV, but the ends kept falling off, and last week, the whole light fell off the back of the TV.I'll try securing it with my own methods, and just deal with the switch issues. Do I regret buying it? No, it is nice to have when it works and stays on the TV. Would I buy a new one to replace this one? Probably not, no guarantee it'll work any better, will attempt fixing what I have.
