I've been using the Silpat Premium Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mat for a while now, and I can confidently say it lives up to its reputation. The quality is outstanding — it feels durable, lays perfectly flat, and has held up beautifully after multiple uses. While it's definitely on the pricier side compared to generic silicone mats, I believe it's worth the investment. Unlike other mats I've tried, I've never had issues with staining, odors, or oil leaking underneath. It consistently delivers even baking results and makes cleanup incredibly easy. If you're looking for a reliable, long-lasting baking mat that truly performs, the Silpat is a solid choice.

"Silpat, Silpat, Silpat!" The buzz is everywhere: it's the best, it makes all your baked goods better, yada yada yada. So, being the baker that I am, I figured this product was indispensable, and I purchased one. The good: It's definitely nonstick. I've used it for rolling out pie crusts, for baking biscotti, for making toffee and caramel, and it's amazing. It's also super easy to clean, and it's more convenient than parchment for super-sticky things. The bad: It's AWFUL for cookies (specifically, drop cookies). Now, this is just my humble opinion, but I'm a fan of thick, chewy cookies, and I've perfected about ninety different recipes to achieve that texture with all the cookies I bake, from snickerdoodles to chocolate chip. But the first four batches of cookies I made using this mat turned out terrible-- thin and crispy on the outside, barely baked in the middle. I couldn't understand what the problem was, until I looked on the Silpat website. Under the FAQ section, there's a question that reads, "Why do my cookies flatten out so much when I bake with SILPAT?" (Apparently, this is a common problem.) The answer listed on the website states simply, "Because SILPAT is so non-stick, the cookie dough slides effortlessly and without resistance during the baking process. This tends to produce flatter, rounder, more gourmet looking cookies." This, my friends, is marketing-speak for, "You can't get thick and chewy cookies with this thing." Bottom line: As far as silicone baking mats go, it's definitely the best. But if you're primarily a cookie-baker, skip this and just stick with parchment. Your cookies will thank you.

I purchased these Silpat Baking Sheets back in 2004 as a present for my wife, and they are still going strong today. After years of regular use, literally 1000's of cookies, they remain nonstick, easy to clean, and incredibly reliable. It has saved countless batches of cookies from burning or sticking and has easily outperformed disposable parchment paper. The durability alone makes it worth the investment—this is one of those rare kitchen tools that truly lasts a lifetime.

Works well. Dishwasher safe and reusable. Easy cleanup. It protects your baking pan. It makes it easy to remove food. It makes baking a lot easier. I would buy this again and give as a gift for bakers and people who hate baking. Both groups would find this tool useful.

I’ve used these mats and they work well. Unfortunately this one arrived in an extremely damaged box so I had to return it. That is why I gave it 3 stars.

Matte ist relativ dick und dadurch stabil super leicht zu reinigen... einfach mit feuchtem Lappen abwischen oder kurz unter fließendes Wasser RIECHT NICHT und KLEBT NICHT !!! Die erste Matte vor ca. 25 Jahren gekauft!! hielt wirklich mehrere Jahre!! Danach mit verschiedenen anderen experimentiert... war nie zufrieden... wurden alle wieder entsorgt... jetzt endlich wieder das Silpat -Original gefunden!!

Este silpat lo compré para reponer uno que tenía desde hace muchos años y que despareció de mi casa hace unos meses. El anterior lo había comprado en USA y este es exactamente igual. Estoy feliz porque sé que es un excelente producto.
