Waterproof!
I'm reviewing the 12x10 rectangular tarp. This tarp came 2 days ago, just before a pretty big rain storm (radar pictured.) I set it up just before the storm to test and to make sure it is waterproof. I am happy to say that it is completely waterproof and has been set up for over 30 hours of continuous rain without so much as a drop of water on my hammock (pictured completely dry!) And about 10 more hours of rain forecasted. The center seam is factory sealed. The multiple guy rings will make this a very versatile shelter in many situations like quick lean-to shelters, etc. The side guy rings make an excellent tie-off point for my bug net too! The material is not extremely thin and lightweight, but very durable and should withstand many outings of use if cared for.Extreme lightweight backpackers may like something lighter, but this is easily packable, and I needed something for FULL coverage of my hammock. And at this price, I may buy a couple more!I set my ridgeline above and hang the tarp with a mini carabiner and prusik knot (pictured) so that there's no chance of water running down the rope and dripping on the inside. The tarp is tough and pulling it nice and tight is no issue as the seam runs on this line and is a good reinforcement for pulling. The stakes are nice and lightweight aluminum, although you may have your own stakes, and the guy ropes are nice orange and reflective at night so when you're stumbling out in the dark you should easily see them reflect with your flashlight. The adjustable tensioners are plastic, but hold up well with minimal slippage. I only had to re-cinch them a little bit once so far.All in all, I love the green color, it looks great in the woods, and I would definitely recommend this tarp for hammock users and others.

5 Years of Abuse and Still Going Strong!
I bought this tarp in 2021 and use it exclusively for hammock camping. As the Scoutmaster for a Scout troop, this thing has seen its share of adventures, rain, mud, wind, tree branches, and abuse. Going into its 5th summer, it’s held up great, has kept me dry on countless outings, and has been one of the best value items I’ve picked up throughout a lifetime of outdoor adventures.

Buy lots
I liked the first one so much i bought three more. These can link together pretty well to give you a whole lot of coverage should you find yourself in the austier severe weather conditions we did when deploying this tarp. It didn't just rain on our camping trip, it poured buckets and buckets of rain day and night for five days with only a couple of hours break in the weather on day 4. We pitched one part of the tarp to be a rain catchment so we didn't have to go to the lake to get water and rinse the dishes. The tarp offered the 10 of us enough coverage we could cook, sit and try to not have a miserable time. The pitch of the tarp allowed it to handle some pretty strong winds, multiple tiedown points that helped adapt it to the trees available and the environment. The other large square tarp we had deployed did not fare as well as this tarp did since water pooled on the top and had to be constantly readjusted and relieved of the pooled water. Hexagonal tarps really are the way to go and are the most adaptable. Also the quality of the materials are excellent and offer extra durability. This was definitely worth the money. Folding it was definitely a two person job. But there is almost no noticeable difference in weight between a lighter tarp of this same size and this one. What I would like to see on future designs is that the tarps could work better when used together with tarps of the same kind. Currently I can get these tarps to work together, but there is more space between the tarps when connecting them together than I'd like there to be as rain has space to get through. Being able to control that space would be very valuable. For now it is enough, but why should that be enough when it could be better? Anyhow, I hope this helps.

It’s working so far. I’ll update if it fails.
Used several times, is holding up well. I’ll update if it fails on me but I trust it enough to have also bought the 14x14.

Stop buying crap.
Lightweight, easy to use, and without worrying about the gromits pulling out, like they do on every other tarp I've brought camping. Money VERY well spent.
