Fantastic and unbelievable value!!
Wow,,, I have had this product for a total of five minutes and cannot believe the quality for the price that I have received. I don't know how they can sell such a high-grade product for this price but so glad that I got this while available. For any beginner thinking about venturing out into the bush for a period of time I would highly recommend this product if you needed a great, strong knife that will not let you down. No need to spend multiple hundreds of dollars on a survival knife. This one will serve your needs. I really appreciate that the company shipped to me as razor sharp. No sharpening needed at this time. I may look to other products from Holeyedge. Should be standard issue for Appalachian Trail hikers as well as backpackers in general.

For the price, it's as good as it gets! Uh-oh! *UPDATE* 6-26-22
I received this on 6-14-22 and was REALLY surprised at how good this looked! It was pretty hefty too, and after giving it a very good look to check fit and workmanship I was pretty happy. Well, that was before I saw that, I, too, was the recipient of a 6mm knife blade, it says as clear as day that it is an 6mm knife... NOW... So, I guess they have changed this from what was once known as an 8mm knife to a 6mm, I don't know. It's not false advertising the way that they have it written now though, my expectations were not that I would get an 8mm, so I am happy! To their side though, it is not a 9" knife, it is a 9-1/2" knife, so there is that. This is really a heavy-duty knife, I have not taken it out and used it, but handling it and seeing the fit and finish I am happy and I paid a fair price for what I received. My ONLY thing that I wish was different is that it will not fit on a belt that I wanted it too, it's about 1/8" too small. (I don't remember reading about the belt width thing, I was just hoping that it'd fit) There is a small adjustment that you can do to make it fit a larger belt, you just 'REMOVE' a plastic bar, it's on the inside of the clip, it should fit my belt now. (I haven't tried it yet) The holster is really very nice, it's nothing fancy, it holds the knife well and there is no jiggling around inside, it's a very tight fit. It may not look like it, but the handle is pretty comfortable, at least for me, it fits my (medium-sized) hands just right too. For me, I got what I paid for, and I am happy, as far as the durability of it, that will just have to be tested, hopefully the steel is not soft or brittle, but perfectly hardened. _______________________________________________________________________________________ *UPDATE* 6-26-22 _______________________________________________________________________________________ Tonight I was changing the knife's holster to a horizontal draw and when I screwed back the Phillips screw into the nut, the nut (actually both nuts) stripped! This is something resulting from a VERY CHEAP screw, VERY cheap! I barely put any pressure, I only slightly snugged it up, and that is all it took to strip it. I KNEW that it might happen again and I GENTLY tightened the last one, it stripped immediately too. It's not a HUGE thing, but it's the little things that will get you. You could lose the entire thing if you were (possibly) in a lot of brush, you may not know it fell off. So, I removed a star from the Review, those nuts cost probably 1 cent for 25 of them when they buy them, they could buy some 'slightly' better nuts to avoid this. I also want to say that when I went to loosen the nut it was already loose, on both, it wasn't wiggling, yet, but it wouldn't have stayed on if it were on my belt. Anyway, IF you have to buy this knife, please go and do yourself a favor and buy some nuts that are better quality, the knife is still O.K., I like it, but it makes me very wary of the entire holster now.

A Collector’s Knife, Not a Daily Tool
This is a well-made, sharp knife with solid build quality. But it’s more of a collector’s piece than something for daily use. Great to own, just not practical for everyday tasks.

Ugly Beautiful Workhorse of a knife
Got this puppy JUST for farm & field work, and it did NOT disappoint. I was able to baton it down into logs to split them into kindling, used the spine to tack down some fence line staples, pry bar to open some old cans, and then use the blade to open up feed bags and hay line -- ZERO problems. She's a real beast. Not for a wall mount or even a self defense purpose, this is a utility knife, through and through. Just keep her clean and she'll be good for years. ( some people say she needs a saw blade, but I'm a purist - oh well )

Great Value Working Knife
Shes not a wallhanger, not a status piece handcrafted by orthodox cenobites in their mountaine monastery with steel folded a thousand times. No Damascus pattern writ in the name of God. No fossilized dolphin bacculum handle scales pinned in place with rubidium rods, wrought in arabesque etching. Just a weighty, indestructible lump of factory cut steel that could survive the bombing of a munitions dump, a knife built for nigh any sort of beating imaginable in the hands of most any tradesman. For all the above shes not ugly-indeed I love the heavy brutalist design, this blade has replaced my back pocket flipper as general utility tool of choice for scraping, sticking, chopping, cutting, wedging etc. Its not the knife you fret over using for fear of dulling the perfect edge you honed for hours over velvet and vellum, its the knife you punch holes through paint tins with, the one you pry pavers out of a gravel driveway with or use to hammer nails, that can be hammered into a tree for you to stand on. Its thicc! I'm a landscaper amongst many other things,of a primitive bent with alot of experience using various blades. I've had everything from the expensive to the shoddy and generally my favorites have been sturdy working blades like this, lowmid priced workhorses that hang on for years. I really dig this knife, and am glad of my purchase-it looks even cooler in person and performs as expected .
