Q: Are they true in size (American size chart)

That depends on how you want them to fit. I normally wear a size 6, but I bought a medium because I didn't want a super tight girdle fit. I was happy with how they fit. Snug but not constricting tight. My problem was that I ordered the 2" length. They were really short booty shorts that rode up my backside. Ended up returning and buying a different brand offering a 3" inseam that was perfect!!

I am 5’3” and 135lbs I got the medium and fit me perfect my daughter is 5’1” and 120lbs she got a small and fit her perfect.

Macchine or hand wash ; no dryer or hot water.

Q: Do these have side pockets? Description says they do, but it does not look as though they do in the pictures.
