THIS STUFF WORKS!
I have the thickest Asian hair that grows straight out of my scalp which leads to hair growing straight out of the sides making me look like that Cynthia doll from Rugrats. Like I actually developed a phobia of getting my hair wet because I would flat iron the sides down and if I go swimming or sweat at the gym then I would end up with a spikey poof ball for hair.I’ve tried the other cheaper DASHU brand here on Amazon and that one DOES NOT WORK. The DASHU one on here actually UNDID MY PREVIOUS PERM and I ended up POOFIER than before!!!I highly recommend this product. It’s a little bit pricey but it WORKS. The scent can be strong but it’s way more mild than the DASHU one. I actually kinda like it… I might be imagining it but is there a possible hint of coconut? It smells like these coconut wafer cookies that every Asian kid has probably tried at least once. One tip in using this product tho, if you have longer hair, try to concentrate the product near the roots so you don’t end up unnecessarily processing the rest of the hair strand or wasting product. You’ll have to practice clipping and parting your hair but it’s so worth it in the end! I’ve ordered three or four bottles of this stuff already it lasts a long time.I’m so happy I found this product. Now I can swim, sweat, get wet, or party all night with total confidence that I won’t end up looking like a poof ball afterwards. I’ve even used it to laminate my moms brows!!!

Does Work So Far
I was skeptical since the reviews aren’t great for this project, but it has worked so far. I used it yesterday and today my side hair was actually sitting down without even having to blow dry it and use tons of pomade. Worked well for my thick Asian hair.I have read complaints about the smell, and yes it does smell strong. But it doesn’t smell any worse than going to the salon to get a down perm (which I’ve done and this seems to be just as effective).Overall, I will be repurchasing this to redo every several months. Says that it has enough to reuse 4 times, but I imagine your mileage will vary depending on your hair length and if you decide to do the back. I only did the front sides and corners leading to the back.

It works
This product definitely works, but I wish they provided the customer more of the paper used after application. Also has a very strong chemical smell to it.

False Advertising from Company Paid Influencers
“Everybody can use this product regardless of their hair type or race”. - Brute Choi (YouTube influencer)Don’t believe this paid influencer’s claims. Keep in mind, he is pushing his own promo code so it can be assumed he is getting a commission from your sale. To add insult to injury, DPerm has his video on their homepage. Sad to see that DPerm values sales versus honesty and integrity. While I do have coarse/thick hair as mentioned on the website, this product is not for everyone. This product did not work for my hair. In fact, it totally damaged my hair. I closely followed the instructions and my hair looks awful. What Brute should have said was “everybody can buy this product regardless of their hair type or race so I can get a commission even though this product shouldn’t be used on your hair!”It smells awful too. Another Brute Choi lie.

It burned and made my hair look grey.
I’m gonna try and make it short and simple. I’m leaving 3 stars because it’s my fault for buying it after seeing all the reviews.the product does smell bad and the best way to describe it is the smell of piss.after using it properly it burned my hair and when I buzzed it it left it looking grey. Maybe it will work for you but for me it didn’t so best advise it get it professionally done or just cut your hair every 2 weeks to maintain your hair.

Works
Works great for both men and women, if you approach it correctly. Technique and saturation matter. It’s best applied in small sections starting from bottom to top ensuring roots are covered brushing up and then down, as if coloring your hair. Once it’s fully saturated it’s very important to take the comb and brush it in the direction your hair naturally falls or you naturally style it. When applying the paper to your hair and it doesn’t stick, you’ve used too little product. Take an old baseball cap slightly tighter than normal and place it firmly on your head ensuring not to mess up the direction you combed your hair pulling the brim low to cover sides of head, then gently lie on your side pressing your head into a toweled pillow. 30 minutes on each side should suffice. Use a shower comb to brush through product when washing up. I’ve applied olaplex hair oil right after to bring back moisture with great results. I’ve used it on my pixie haircut and my husbands longer hair, we both have thicker Asian hair. So far it’s lasted about a 5 weeks for both hairstyles.

Works!
Great for people on a budget or don’t have time for the salon. I Followed the instructions and my over grown sides stayed down. Not difficult to do on your own since you’re pretty much just painting product to the stick out parts. It does have a strong smell like everyone said and your hair does smell like the product whenever it gets wet, but honestly any salon you goto to for any type of perm is going to smell lol. Assuming these comments never got a perm at a salon before!

They reduced the amount of dperm significantly.
I do like the product, but they don’t give you enough anymore. Bottom line? Not worth $44 for what’s basically 2 applications of hair serum that *really* lasts 2.5 weeks tops (they say 3-4).
