Buy Your Own Thermometer for Accurate Temperature Readings.
The Keggermeister is a good little keg cooler. They do not tell you that it is for indoor use - says it in the directions that you receive with the unit. I bought this to use around our pool. We have a pole barn which protects the Keggermeister from the elements. I bought a cover for the unit and an adjustable commercial wheeled base to set the unit on thereby keeping it about three inches off the ground/concrete in case of rain. The Keggermeister came with a built in thermometer and led display on the front of the door - DO NOT USE THIS AS IT IS INSTALLED. The sensor is in the door behind a plastic screen. Your temp readings will be off. I read how other people complained about getting the unit to be cool enough. I bought stand alone thermometer from the local hardware store to see how accurate the digital thermometer was before putting a keg inside. My readings were as follows: digital/thermometer-48.6/32; 33.6/22. I pulled the plastic cover off the sensor housing located in the bottom of the door and pulled the sensor out of the recessed area to see if the readings would improve-they did. Much better readings now with a keg inside-40.1/32. The control now is set to the full notch just after the "D" of MED on the dial. I keep the thermometer sitting on top of the keg just to be sure of the temperature so the beer does not freeze. You will have to play with the CO2 pressure to figure out how to keep from having too much foam. We usually keep it low (<7) with good results. Be sure you clean the tap when you change kegs to keep everything running smooth and prevent any mold/bacteria build up. Overall, this is a good keg cooler. Also the seller has great customer service if you have any problems. The original unit delivered was damaged in transit and they immediately sent a new unit to us. All I did was send pictures to them. I had my new unit in less than a week. The first four pictures attached are the temperature readings with the sensor inside the protective compartment. Next is where we have the dial. The final two pictures are readings after the sensor cover is removed and pulled out from the cavity so it can read the temperature. Note: The sensor is located in the door at the bottom of the unit. I have the regular commercial thermometer sitting on the keg or hanging from the tubing.

Keggerrator works good.
The Keggerator arrived with the packaging fully intact and damage free, however when I unpackaged the refrigerator the back right side of the refrigerator was damaged and would not sit level. I contacted customer service and they were extremely helpful and we came to an agreement that worked for both of us. The damage does not affect the operation of the refrigerator at all and the machine keeps the beer very cold. There is plenty of room inside for a quarter keg as well as a case of beer and bottles of pop. The thermometer does not show an accurate temperature because it is mounted in the door and too close to the outside of it, but doesn't really make a difference as the beer is kept cold.

Okay like any product i read the reviews and was almost turned away from the purchase. I REALLY wanted a home draft system so i finally gave in and forked the money over on this system. Being it was the cheapest i could find i was expecting a lot of work and a difficult time constructing and tampering with the thing....Well, first off it came a week before expected, which was perfect. Then the packaging was very simple and organized (double padded boxes) and the package itself unharmed. I read the instructions and literally had the machine running and set up in an hour. And im not good with things like this at all, far from a handyman. While it was cooling, i drove down the street and filled the CO2 tank for less than $10. 3-4 hours later i had ice cold draft beer in a very appealing kegerator. Had some friends over and they fell in love with it as well. One of the best investments i have pursued.Definitely 5 starts, and on top of all that it also came with an extra O ring and seals for each part so any upcoming maintenance needed should be cake.

Do not buy!!!
I ordered this this product three weeks ago and would give this ZERO stars if possible. The first one that shipped (7/19/10) to me had a defective spout that did not lock into place. I called amazon on Tuesday 7/20/10 and they were extremely helpful. Amazon had a new one shipped to me two days later on a Thursday 7/22/10. I Assembled the keggermeister on Friday 7/23/10, plugged it in on Saturday 7/24/10 to see if it worked...and it did!!! On Wednesday 7/28/10, I bought a keg of Dales Pale ale and had the CO2 tank filled and set the kegger to the "med" setting and put a few bottles of beer inside. By Friday 7/30/10 the CO2 tanked was completely empty because there was a leak in the hose, the bottles of beer were completely frozen, and the Dales pale ale tasted stronger then normal. I had the tank refilled on Saturday 7/31/10, replaced the hose, and turned the kegger all the way down to min. On Sunday 8/1/10, I went to go and get a beer and nothing came out...I thought that was kind of strange so I unhooked the keg to see if it was tapped and it seemed there was no beer left but still on the heavy side...so i left it outside and turned the kegger off. On Monday night 8/2/10 when I got home from work, I wanted to go and return the keg at the liqueur store, but when I picked it up, there was still beer...and ICE in it. So on the lowest setting on the kegger froze my beer! Today is Tuesday 8/3/10 and I am going to contact Amazon and return the keg. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

not bad, made regulator adjustment to get my perfect pour
Kegerator arrived quickly. Upon taking out of box for inspection noticed rear left hand corner bent. I managed to persuade corner back to shape and cannot notice it. All parts were accounted for and began assembly process. No issues with instructions. I switched out beer taps with my trusty Perlick 630. Plugged kegerator in to begin cooling. After one day placed 1/6th barrel in and made connections. The regulator shut off does not shut off, I switched with my old one. Looking at other reviews this seems to be a problem. Continued cooling beer for a day, temp around 44 degrees. I poured first glass, not bad, made regulator adjustment to get my perfect pour. After 3 months made no changes and had no issues. I would recommend this product. If you had a kegerator prior to purchasing expect a few tweaks to getting a good pour.
