It’s quite riveting-I could not put it down. It has a sense of depth and insight that while making it relatable to a large audience, it answers several life’s nagging questions for a select few. Everyone has similar challenges. I particularly enjoyed how the characters evolved, grew and then later contributed to a greater good. The family dynamic even in challenging times was spectacular. The author’s art of bringing this together as a life ‘lesson’ is impressive. This is a brilliant, well-written account of life that’s relatable and inspiring. I would highly recommend this book.

Amazing book, the book is a feel good story telling. Everything has a purpose in life and everything happens for a reason. This book reminds us that little things count and the purpose of relationships, weather how big or small those relationships are. There are life lessons in everything we do. The book starts as a young boy telling the story of his life and family. Things that we don't understand as a child become more clear as we grow. It's a great story and beautifully written

The story of Ronnie “Jasper” Jefferson MacFarland Jr. is one we all need to read. James Hill has written a story of a life with lessons for all of us. We all need a purpose and we can find it if we listen to our hearts and our family.Thank you for introducing us to such wonderfully developed characters, James! What a fabulous first novel. I absolutely loved this book. I could not wait to read a few chapters each night. Towards the end I could not put it down. It made me smile and at times put tears in my eyes. Great/inspirational story that brings everything together perfectly at the end. Highly recommend this book!

I loved this book! The storyline drew me in from the very beginning and kept me interested until the end. I finished it in less than a day. The characters were so real. Some characters were not always likeable, but as a family they were perfectly imperfect. The genuineness of the characters made it very captivating. I laughed, cried and was sad when it ended.

This book moved me. I fell in love with the characters and had to remind myself when the book was over, that they weren't real. But somehow I feel they are.I could not put this down until it was finished and then I cried when I did.Whatever he writes, I'm reading it for sure.Bravo. Excellent book!

A story of hope and triumph, one that will feed your soul and leave you wanting more. You will walk through each stage of life with Ronnie (Jasper) feeling every emotion through a metaphorical relation to each character. My personal take is that each significant person in Ronnie’s life represents an aspect of self that either positively contributes towards personal growth or “purpose” or hinders it. But even in the end what is perceived as a hinderance is actually a catalyst for growth. I highly recommend this book- be prepared to feel all the feels.Move over Nicholas Sparks, you’ve met your match!

Very much enjoyed this lovely and moving story of family and commitment. Characters were well-developed and memorable. With some tighter editing and continuity, it has the potential of block-buster. Looking forward to reading from Mr. Hill in the future. Congratulations on your first published book. What a cherished and delightful read.

This is a fantastic, feel good read, shows life’s up and downs — and is perfect to take anywhere.Author has a great writing style, and found I could relate to characters/family members/life situations from family in my own life. LolI quite enjoyed reading this book -Nicely done James - I look forward to what you publish next!
