Was just perfect for me
I bought this nearly six years ago and have used it almost every day and unfortunately after all this time it's finally broken. It's been perfect for what I needed and now that I'm having to replace it, I've looked at the competition and yes, you could probably get something better if you paid a lot more, but I'm happy with what I get for the price. So I'm replacing with the same one and hopefully I'll get another six years use out of it.

Nice compact, sturdy swing stepper!
Well happy with this swing stepper. The step resistance is easily adjustable and I find it gives me a good daily leg and cardio workout with the arm curl bands, all done in front of the t.v. after work for half an hour while tea's cooking.I'm 5'11" and just over 11st (72kg) with men's size 9 (UK) feet and this feels sturdy underneath me with plenty of room to spare on the footplates. It's well built enough for me not to foresee any breakages for a long time.It did start to squeak a little after a few weeks daily use, but nothing that a careful squirt of WD-40 didn't cure (it's got moving metallic parts in a warm dry room, so this was inevitable in my mind).I have already recommended it to friends and family and my Mum even had a quick go, amazing! 😊

It broke after one week
Only just purchased. Watching the video it shows that you can step up and down as well as side to side. Can’t get it to do this. Also can’t adjust the height of the pedals only the resistance. The electric display is very poor too. Only chose this because it was Amazons recommended number one stepperAnd now it’s broken! But the wonderful people at Amazon have been very helpful and I appreciate that.

Tough enough to bear weights over the quoted maximum.
Great product and works well even though I'm heavier than the maximum weight according to the description (how are people over 100kg supposed to lose weight if all sports equipment is only rated up to 100kg?!). I use this stepper with my sit-stand desk in my home office to make my desk job slightly less sedentary and it does the trick nicely. It's small enough to be moved off to one side when not in use - even in my tiny office - and it stands up on its end nicely. It looses one star for the combination of (a) only being rated up to 100kg which is ridiculous for any piece of exercise equipment in a world where we're increasingly worried about the rise in obesity and (b) the fact that it has quite a loud squeak and it's not very clear where that's coming from so it's tough to work out where to apply lubricant.

Works most of the time - but fails every use!
This was purchased as a Christmas present. The unit was quite stiff to start with but worked as it should. We noticed that when in use, every so often it would just lose any tension? So one minute you are stepping just fine and then 'bang' it just falls with no resistance like something has snapped. Then it appears to work fine again until the next time it does the same. This is consistent, every use - I did read similar reviews but thought it might be a one off, but its not. DO NOT BUY!! Clearly they are faulty.

Easy to keep active indoor
I was looking for a cheap stepper that would allow me to keep up with my step counts under lockdown, as i am in the process of losing weight.I am very happy with this. It doesn't make much noise, is easy to use. The stepping experience feels quite natural and i can go at various pace/speeds.I haven't used the bands and couldn't figure out out to use them properly though. So i'm just using this indoor, stepping in front of my TV!

Broke after 1.5 mths of moderate use
Bought it and used it for just 1.5 mths. Where the bar that the step is attached links up to the main mechanism is welded and that has broken and I am now unable to use it. I weigh 140-145lb so my weight wasn't or could not be an issue. I would normally use for about 25mins every second day. Really disappointed in the quality of it but when 1st looking at it, the poor workmanship isn't visible.

Good if you are heavy - High resistance level.
This is a quality, solid piece of kit, but be aware that the resistance cannot be adjusted and the resistance level is high. My wife is 9.5 stone and got it to exercise her knees in particular, which both been replaced. She is pretty fit but found it hard to operate for any more than about 3 minutes. I'm 12.5 stone and walk a lot and I also think it's pretty hard work. If you are heavy it would be good, but not for lightweights.
