Perfect for Paint Pouring Blooms – Smooth, Glossy, and Reliable
I purchased Varathane Triple Thick Polyurethane as part of my bloom recipe for acrylic paint pouring, and it has worked exceptionally well! If you’re into fluid art and Dutch pours, this is an excellent choice for cell creation, smooth flow, and a durable finish.✅ Pros for Paint Pouring:✔ Perfect Bloom Recipe Additive – Helps create lacing and cells when mixed properly.✔ Smooth, Glossy Finish – Enhances the vibrancy of colors and adds a professional shine.✔ Consistent Flow & Leveling – Allows paint to move effortlessly without breaking.✔ Non-Yellowing – Keeps whites and lighter colors true over time.⚠️ Things to Consider:⚠ Mixing Ratios Matter – Be precise when adding this to your pouring medium for optimal results.⚠ Drying Time – May require extended drying/curing time, depending on humidity and layer thickness.⚠ Ventilation Needed – Has a noticeable odor when wet, so proper airflow is recommended.💡 Final Thoughts:If you’re looking for a polyurethane that works well in bloom recipes, this is an excellent choice! It helps create stunning lacing, cells, and smooth finishes in acrylic pouring projects. Highly recommended for fluid artists who want professional-quality results.🔹 Would I Use It Again? Absolutely! This is now a staple in my paint pouring supplies

Fast and easy, wonerful clean up!
This is a great polyurethane. The only minor issue is the depth of wood grain change. All water based urethanes and coatings seem to have the problem, wiping solvent on shows deep, rich grain, wiping oil on shows even deeper 9hence the "French Polish"). The water based don't bring out the depth of color as much. After discovering the weaker grain visibility (which may be a bonus for some people and applications), I put down a coat of shellac sealer with a disposable cotton pad, which is alcohol based which brings out the grain very nicely and also dries quickly. Once the sealer is down, i put polyurethane over it and there are no incompatibility issues so I get the depth of an oiled finish with the ease of water cleanup, and the water cleanup is the most important aspect. The only issue I had with this was using it on damaged wood, the "Self Leveling" aspect seems to only go as far as brush stroke and not uneven grain. It carried the wavy grain all the way to the surface, so i needed to sand off that and then re-apply, using this as a filler. That project turned out acceptable so I say this is very easy to use. If I can do it, anybody can!

Rapid durable coating
I like the hardness and durability of a single coat of this product. I have used it successfully to refinish worn sections of parque flooring and these areas have stood up well to continued foot traffic. Getting a nice smooth finish without brush marks is challenging and maybe impossible. It's self leveling to point but it is very different from conventional varnish in application.A relatively odorless product during use and no lingering odor when cured. It does clean up nicely with warm water and it's easy to care for your application tools after use. Paint thinner is is not needed and that saves money. It does build a durable coating quickly.

Great product for shiny wood projects.
This is a great coat for wooden objects. I make wooden wavy flags and this makes them look amazing. Make sure you use a fine brush and use a thick first coat. It will sit and all the brush marks will level out. Do not go back over the spots for the best first coat results. It took me several flags to get the discipline to hold back on second and third brush strokes. Good coverage and dries clear.

... found this product to go on and act just like Modge Podge so I probably won't be using it ...
My friend told me to get this product to use for an art project I found this product to go on and act just like Modge Podge so I probably won't be using it again although I do have to say the shine was very nice but it was not what I really wanted at all plus I'm used to using resin and I use Modge Podge .Modge Podge that I I make as much more cost effective. I guess I was expecting it to be more like resin, however it did not dry clear it dried white which basically ruined my art piece. I have tried to paint over it but it defeats the purpose. Anyway I won't be using this product for anything art or otherwise. I don't know if other polyurethane works this way so I can't say if this this particular company brand is any different from any other company that makes polyurethane. But the product is thick and I applied it with a brush. This is an update I added photos so what I have to do is paint over each one of those areas with paint to hide the white of the polyurethane after it dried since it didn't dry clear it was a costly project as well as time-consuming I can't do it over I just have to make the best out of what I can do so I will not be using this product again however my friend who does a different type of artwork finds it to be satisfactory for her so she uses this on a regular basis and I got this at her recommendation. We are both multi-medium artist that uses a variety of substances
