My daughter reads well phonetically but has trouble remembering sight words and this was great for her. I marked difficulty level "not sure" because every child is different and will learn at a different pace so easy for some, moderate for others. The stories are 2 to 3 sentences and she was encouraged to figure out SW. if your child is not a reader it is always nice to start listening comprehension. Review: Great flow, confidence builder, excellent content - I purchased this book for my kindergartener who also has a small receptive speech delay. This has been the perfect book to help him build confidence in what he is reading and what is being read to him. Also it’ll the basic stories use many sight words which is perfect for him. The stories are basic and no more than 4 sentences. We are about half way through and it doesn’t seem to be getting much harder from the beginning but I think that is a positive. There are slightly longer stories with different types of questions as we have progressed but what I like is that it’s not taking home from level 1- level 20 in the same book. He is understanding and listening and enjoys doing these work pages. This book is a great learning tool and confidence builder.

Great workbook for beginning readers.
Great workbook to supplement sight words and homework to enhance reading comprehension. There's some variety to the amount of words on the pages complimented by 2 questions about what the reading topic. My kindergartener is doing well with this. I'd say this is suitable for kids starting to read; however, it seems slightly more advanced than just sight words. If you're looking for beginning readers books for kids for kids to start reading, I highly recommend BOB Books. I'm very impressed with both.

Great for my 3yo
She loves to TRY to read and is good at comprehension so we’re utilizing this for our home school.

Great for kindergarteners!
The main thing I like is how the stories are short and straight to the point so it doesn’t confuse the child with so many details. My son has autism and picks up things a little slower. I also like that the questions and the answers are very simple.

Perfect for my students!
I work with students on the autism spectrum and with intellectual disabilities. This book is PERFECT for them. As other users have said, this book does not really get more complicated as you go. It does however give you a lot of different examples for basic comprehension on the same level. This helps promote generalization (rather than my students just memorizing the answers to one or two sheets) by applying the same skills across different short passages. They really benefit from repeated exposure to the same skill. I also love that there are pictures to go along with the very short stories to also help students find their answers.

Great for a beginner to expand skills and confidence!
This was perfect! My son can read sight words, and little else. I wanted a reading comprehension workbook, to help expand his reading skills without being too difficult. This was great! Three sentence passage with a couple questions to answer. He enjoyed it and didn't fuss because it was on his level. This may be too easy if your kiddo is a strong reader. This is pretty easy material for beginners. If you have a beginner, this will be great!

I think a foreign kid should buy this book. It’s pretty easy to get started. Kids would love it.
