Installing our first set of blinds was certainly a frustrating learning experience. The instructions included are confusing and could be layed out better. They are helpful once you figure out the initial set up. It took me days/weeks and communicating back and forth via email with Yoolax customer support to finally get them connected to the app. Once I ordered the correct hub, in our case it was the Yoolax Zigbee Matter Hub, I was able to easily install the hub and blinds into the Yoolax app. I've been able to create automations that automatically open and close the shades daily at certain times each day. Once connected to the Yoolax app, they were automatically connected to my Alexa app. I can now command them with Alexa as well. It took some time and patience but now that I know how to connect them to the app I do love these blinds and the way they function. I will definitely be ordering more.

Ordering custom motorized blinds is a big step, but Yoolax makes the process as simple and accurate as possible. Your measurements will get confirmed and locked in, so be precise. Choosing motor side and other options is easy. The packages will arrive carefully packed, and you'll want to study the installation steps. You do not extend the shades until full mounted. Charge the blinds completely before you try to operate them. Note: with the deluxe remote control, there is a tiny push button switch underneath the protective cover and backing. The shades themselves also have a minute and fragile reset and programming button over the LED. Again, study the instructions. You will set the upper limit, lower limit, and any intermediate setting at the start. If you notice the blinds are running out of phase, where down is up and up is down, there is also a way to reprogram the direction. One potential point of confusion will be if the downward limit is not set properly. The shade may overextend and switch position from front to back on the roller. You may find yourself resetting the entire shade to rectify everything. Be patient and make note of the subtle differences in programming on each page of the instructions. I found out that my Amazon Echo 5 Gen 2 device did not in fact work with the blinds, even though one of the product descriptions listed it. If that's the case and you still want voice control, order a BroadLink hub and you will be all set. Last but not least, think twice before ordering the solar charging option. While it works, I have a feeling that it may overcharge the batteries if left plugged in. It's probably wiser to charge only when necessary instead of supplying a continuous charge. Yoolax customer support is extremely responsive and generous with help, but please heed the instruction manuals carefully before reaching out.
