jWin JCAM100 Mini Webcam for Laptop

I suppose that I should not have expected much for the price, but am still annoyed. This camera will not work with Skype, at least for me. It successfully installed, and it actually seemed to go through the setup process with Skype, but then it timed out after a few seconds. After reverting to an earlier version of Skype, and still having no luck, I tried to find a new driver from JWin. That was a waste. After uninstalling and re-installing this camera about 10 times, I've had enough. The picture is OK, the microphone (when it works) is not too bad. The clip that holds it to the laptop lid is at best, poor. I would not recommend this unit.

i bought this web camera so that me and my family could skype chat with video. so they can see me and my daughter from 8 hours away! so far so good. mic works, camera is good. i wouldnt put direct like on your face cause it makes you look orange and splotchy but other then that its all good. at first i though it didnt have a lense do to all i saw in the big circle was a tiny dot cutout. but its there and works good for the price. a had seen that someone posted that it doesnt work well with skype but it works great on it for me.. i do have a laptop that the webcamera sits ontop of. the clip is adjustable and holds secure ones u get it set in place. its good for the 15 dollars i paid for it and id buy it again. im happy with this product and my family is glad to finally see my daughter.

I purchased this camera to have a low priced lab camera for petri dish monitoring. It gives a blue screen of death every time on my vista machines, and works perfect on my XP machines. Nice picture quality, effects package and the low light feature is nice too.

I got an HP Windows 7 laptop special buy at Walmart last year. It had everything I wanted except a built in webcam. I bought this camera so that I can Skype with video on this HP laptop. I used the CD that came with it to install only the drivers then exited, removed the CD and plugged in the camera. Computer recognized the camera. Turned on Skype and checked the video and it was working perfectly! I'm not sure if the audio was from the mic on the camera because the computer does have a built in microphone. I like the look of this camera. The clip works, and sitting on the top of my screen it's almost like having a built in camera. No trouble working with Windows 7. I'm very satisfied.

I have not received this device yet but I feel, from the reviews I have read, it will work well with the XP device I am hooking it to. You'll said it works great with Skype, and that is its main purpose. I only needed a small laptop clip-on type camera / mic. If worst comes to worse, I'll velcro it to the top of the laptop (removeable). New comments after i receive it. Rich

ok so I purchased this webcam about a week or 2 ago and so far its ok. It's very easy to set up and use. However I do beleive that this webcam was made for older versions of windows. I have windows vista and the software for this webcam is crashing alot of my programs. My internet explorer never closes out properly. Another issue with this webcam is recording videos. When you record the video it is absolutely perfect you can hear yourself talk as you record, but when you have saved the video and try to open it to play it it's hard to find a software that will play the video. The videos this webcam takes is not compatiable with many things for instance windows media player will not play the video at all. Other than these issues the webcam is a great item for it's price. It works absoluelty amazing with skype. Overall it's an ok product.

great product that get the job done however the resolution is not great but it is the one indicated the form factor and support make it very convenient and unobstrusive for laptop

Awesome little product! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. My daughter's webcam went out and I was not able to video chat with her and my grandchildren. Since purchasing this, we have been able to chat without any issues at all. She said it was very easy to install.
