This thing will lift my piano!
I needed to be able to easily move my console piano from time to time across hardwood floor. (piano has 2 of those little metal wheels that are useless!) We can use furniture pads - but have to lift the piano and place them in the right place. With this I can put it to the side of piano and easily lift one side just enough to position pad and take all the time I need to do so. Then it has a button to GENTLY lower it in very small increments and repeat for other end of piano. The 'fit and finish' of this thing is as close to perfect as I've ever seen on a tool. nothing to snag or scratch. The parts are obviously strong, well designed, well made. I've 'heard' there are less expensive ones, but I've also heard complaints about their robustness. And some I looked at had the 'down feature' but not the 'jack down gently' feature. This is built to do it's job and probably then some. Given my primary purpose was to move a valuable musical instrument, I didn't want rough action that might drop, detune, or otherwise not be as gentle as I needed. This is perfect for the job and I expect it will last a lifetime. I don't regret spending the money and getting top quality at all.

Awesome tool . The real deal well built
These are the real ones they are not the cheap imitation or copied ones !!I have been thinking about buying these for a few years and final broke down and bite the bullet. I don’t know why I waited so long. I’m a cabinet maker and installer and these make you life easier and save you time and money and use the to install pocket doors that are 4 feet wide and 2 1/4 thick and 8 feet 6 inches tall and weigh about 150 plus pounds all solid wood doors we made . The Vikings lifted them like nothing and easy to lower them down with the slow lowing button that lowers down less than a 1/16 at a time. I also use them to install heavy wall panels on one of my jobs and working perfectly and them Panels hang on a French cleat . They are worth every penny!!!

Excellent product, extremely well made, highest quality
This product is worth every penny it cost. Don't be fooled by the junk from China that claims to be a viking, they are not. They are made from cheap stamped metal and have no place in my tool collection. The Viking is beautifully made and operates super smoothly, both up and down. I used it immediately to quickly lift one side of my large bed platform to allow me to remove a heavy build up of dust that accumulated of the past few years. Also used it to lift one side of my large tread mill to finally clean under the platform, and to reposition the floor pads under the feet very accurately. Really worked great and using the left lever to slowly lower this heavy machine precisely while placing foot pads. Plan on using this when changing garbage disposals for friends, it is always a hassle to get under the sink and try to lift a large 1 HP disposal. With the Viking Arm this will be super easy letting the Viking do the heavy lifting. Viking Arm can also easily lift my woodworking equipment including one end of 500 pound workbench to turn castors so they don't stick out and get kicked. Just a few uses in first day of owning the Viking, and plan on using it to hang cabinets and installing cabinet draws. Great product that will last a life time and then some.

Repeat Purchase
These are expensive but worth it - will last a lifetime if you don’t mistreat it. I like that it can be lowered gently. This is my 2nd purchase - a pair just makes some things easier to do.

Great extra set of hands
Do not allow the price deter your purchase. I compare this to a premium caulk gun to a cheap one. This is a high quality, well engineered product. The mechanism is easy to use, handles heavy loads, versatile and release is smooth. You should watch the video to see the various uses. This is very functional for a single DYI user. If you use this one time you will discard any other hand lift tool. Impressed

It does what it does very well.
I have used this twice so far and it has worked very well so far. My first use was definitely a stress test. I was working on leveling a pad at the foot of a set of pressure treated stairs used as a fire escape from a second floor. We had the bottom the stairs propped up, but they were not quite high enough. I had the Viking Arm in my truck, so I grabbed it. I wasn’t able to Jack the stairs up, but I could push them up and hold them with the Viking Arm. It worked and did not break. My second use was right on target. My sister-in-law needed a rug removed from under her bed. The bed is HEAVY. I has tilt and massage features…not just a standard bed. It occurred to me that I could use the Viking Arm to jack up one corner at a time and pull the rug out from under each leg. It worked great. Mine is the real deal…not a cheap knockoff. Generally, I am very careful to be sure I’m buying the real deal from a reputable seller.

Came handy, already a number of times
This is a great tool to lift partially a piece of furniture, a refrigerator, etc. It allows fine adjustment both up, and also to lower it a bit. Comes handy in lifting heavy door and lubricating the hinges. Two of these, for handling furniture, are definitely even better for a one-person operation. I am aware of the comments about cheaper versions not being as sturdy. I cannot compare, but these definitely feel sturdy even at the upper weight limit. Two of these, though, are certainly quite a bit expensive.
