Work as described. Love that my crusts no longer puff up and cook unevenly. Very easy to use, just line your crust with foil or parchment and add the weights. I store them in a large plastic jar instead of the package they came in.

My wife wanted these to help with the baking of pie crusts. She says that they work as intended. The quantity was just about right for a single pie crust.

They worked fairly well, except they seem to get some kind of burn barks in parts of my ceramic coated cast-iron pan. They did wash off.

I have used this product for the past 2 years for holiday pie-baking, and they are great.

First, one set doesn’t cut it. For a medium deep dish you need do sets, deep dish you’ll need six to fill it enough to hold the dough on the side in place Second, wash thoroughly and wash the container as they have ceramic dust. I used a salad spinner so I could easily lift them up. I gave a good rinse with warm water then soaked them in a soapy water and rinsed again. I did that three times. For drying them, unless you want to chase ceramic balls all over you house, I put a dish towel in a cookie sheet and it worked perfectly! No ceramic ball chasing!

These are a must if you want a good single pie crust for a cream pie. Line your pie crust with a parchment liner, put in your pie weights, and presto - no shrinkage of your pie crust!

Great quality pie weights. However, quite expensive and delivery took ages. You will also need two boxes for a 12" inch pan. After I ordered this, I found cheaper and equally good quality weights at Lakeland.
