Solid reliable blender
I've been using this blender for two weeks now and I am more than satisfied with the results. Having used the magic bullet for the past year this thing is far more superior and blends a perfect smoothie every time. I've also had experiences with the Vitamix at my brother's and the Dynablend goes toe to toe blending every fruit and vegetable to the same consistency. Tribest created a durable product that is built to last with a sturdy glass pitcher and the stainless steel scoop. The control knob is easy to use and the preset buttons are the way to go. Not to mention the modern and seamless design makes the Vitamix look outdated. Look, I'm not a Vitamix hater but why spend $500 on a blender when the Dynablend does the same workload for less than half the cost.My only qualms about the product was it smelled like burnt rubber when I first used it, which some of the reviewers mentioned. However after a week's use it finally went away and now I have no issue. I use this product everyday to make smoothies in the morning and also made some of the best milk shakes, soups, salsas, and sauces at home. I rarely post anything about my purchases, but I'm here to say the Dynablend is the truth! I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends.

Changing review to 1/5 - never worked right, then finally broke
I have had this blender just under a year ... it is Sept 2014, got in Oct 2013. I never had much time to use it, so I figure I've used it about 4 or 5 times. It seemed to work OK which is why I gave it the original review I did (below), but today it was so hot I thought of pulling out the blender and making some Pina Coladas.I assembled the ingredients, turned on the blender and after a few seconds of noise and blending the machine stopped, totally dead, with smoke coming out of it.Every time I used it I got a slight oily odor from it, and the last time I got small particles of black plastic in my drink. This has not just happened to me, I have heard a lot of stories about this happening to people, and I thought I was lucky of those other folks were doing something wrong, but they were not. Woe to me the day I spent so much money on a blender like this that is a complete fraud. When a company makes something like this that has such poor performance that it breaks after 4 uses, you can be sure they never did any quality control and never field tested this product, they just shipped it out the door after getting people on You-Tube to market it and talk it up. I feel like a victim of fraud and I am really angry about being sold such a terrible product for so much money. This was my original review when I got the blender:This is a good powerful blender. It has some good features ... a glass container, a powerful motor, a nice spoon-like stirring implement to move stuff around if it is stuck or not blending. The only really problem is that it is so hard to take apart to clean. From a recent article I read, one of the worst breeding places for bacteria is in the small crevices in the bottom of a blender - so it is important to be able to take that apart and clean it. You need to use a tool to unscrew the bottom and then it is hard, sharp plastic that is a bit difficult to clean. The design of the cleaning method needs some work on this, until then it is too much work. That said, the blender works well, is powerful and variably adjustable.I will never buy anything with the Tribest name on it again, and will likewise tell everyone I know who might conceivably be interested that this company has a very bad history behind it.

Lower Price = Lower Quality
Just like one of the previous reviewers, I had ordered this blender because it was recommended by John Kohler. This blender was looking like a great alternative for the expensive Vitamix blenders. I had high hopes for the Dynablend. It had the 1.1 Horsepower, glass carafe, speed control, and preset blending modes. The price of this blender is half the price of the cheapest Vitamix, but there is a reason why. The low price means low quality. My first blend consisted of Almond Milk, Frozen Bananas, and Frozen Strawberries. They blended great. However, you could smell the plastic heating up. Later that day, I decided to blend again the same ingredients. This time the Dynablend blended for a second and stopped. The smell of plastic was stronger. I was hoping that it overheated, so I did what the manual said and waited a while for the blender to cool down. I plugged the machine back in and it no longer worked.Like the previous reviewer, it could have been the gear or a different problem. But I hope that Tribest can figure out this problem. Tribest will have a great product once they fix these problems.

Blade is metal, spoon is metal, carafe is glass, but gear and base are plastic!
Let me start off by saying I had high hopes for this blender for the following reason. 1. It has a glass carafe. 2. It has 1.1 hp. (pretty much half of the Vitamix). 3. Because it was recommended by John Kohler. He seems to be on point when it comes to these things. Well one thing you need to know if you had a Vitamix and you go to this, you have just did a serious downgrade! Now for the Dynablend defense, it is more than half the cost. Just don't go in with high expectations. Another thing you will notice is that the base and the blade gear (not the blade itself) is made of plastic. What does this mean? It will wear very fast! For me it took one time and all I blended was water (2 cups) and frozen bananas up to the waterline. Turned it on using the preset (which I would not recommend if you use this blender) and completely shattered the gear. I could not recommend this blender for the price you are paying. You are better off getting a Ninja for cheaper and replace it every year or just spend the money for the Vitamix. For me, blending is part of my lifestyle. So I ended up buying the vitamix again and happy I did.
