Amazing yummy breads and easy to use
Cracking piece of kit. We got it as a wedding present and use it almost daily to make bread. The setting to delay means we can fill it up in the evening and wake up with warm bread! The non stick is good and makes cleaning easy. The paddle can be quite hard to clean though as the hole is small and fiddly, not enough of a problem to lose a star though. Recipes in the instruction book are great and cover all sorts of breads. We haven't experimented with anything not on this list as there's so many. It also makes great pizza dough. Overall great bit of kit well worth the money. Only thing is the non stick could be slightly harder wearing. I gouged mine quite deeply trying to get some bread out with a knife that was stuck (my own fault). Hasn't affected the function though

Micks honest review of the Panasonic SD-R2530
Panasonic SD-R2530 bread maker When it comes to writing reviews I like to have some clear and accurate data. It can get confusing reading through loads of reviews and feeling positive then you start spotting the odd bad ones but for reasons that only make you realise the author has no idea what they are doing ( not all the time but you can spot them ). Anyway here goes my honest evaluation of the above bread maker. I might be biased towards Panasonic as we had one previously and very similar for about 25 years, it never missed a beat or let us down and still works. We just decided a 25 year old electrical item might be ready for a change. I researched just about every utube and customer review there was on breadmakers. I almost went for the Morphy Richards and only because it was smaller but in the end it was not comparable to the Panasonic. There was a Gadget show review which swayed me back. The cost from Amazon was £175 so if we get another 25 years that works out at £7.00 a year to make bread which is ok as eating homemade bread will prolong your life over the other manufactured stuff you can buy from super markets. Just do your homework about what is in that bread it will definately scare you, well it did me. At least you know what is in your crusty loaf if you make it yourself and oh can you load the various breads up with loads of healthy ingrediants that are actually good for you. THE BIG TEST. I made a few wholemeal loaves and tested the sourdough maker recipe and all worked fine so decided to make a basic medium size white loaf and work out a few costs, so here they are. Photos show my plug that monitors accurately the electrical usage and cost per kwh. A 1.5kg bag of strong white flour from Lidl is £1.10. 400g for the recipe = 30p Butter @ £2.00 per 250g using 20g in the recipe = 15p Yeast @ £1.50 per 100g using 7g in the recipe = 10p Electricity to make used 0.4kw costing 10p ( free to me as I have solar panels and the sun is out ) So within a row of trees the basic white loaf in the photo cost me inc electric, flour, butter, yeast was 65p. The machine is so easy to use it is hard to make a bad loaf, but obviouisly some can and I would put that down to operator error. There is a timer so it is great to wake up and have that bakery smell in the kitchen while your making your tea or coffee. You will need to leave the loaf for at least an hour or two to cool down before you try to cut it as it is almost impossible to cut the loaf when hot. On the subject of cutting one of the photos shows a new bread knife I bough and omg how good is that knife, highly recommend but be carefull it is so sharp. We have a ban on leaving it in the washing up bowl as it will definately bite !! The name of the knife is Kuhn Rikon Colori Serrated bread knife. currently £18.95 on Amazon. I get another two slices out of the loaf now due to it cutting straight and accurate. Hopefully this might help your decision, the only reason by the way we didnt go for the next model up was the fact that it almost had too many options to bake and we would never use tham all so keep the pennies in your pocket we thought. Forgot to mention it does have a seed tray dispensor which last night I decided to make some Olive bread and am now off to try it but it came out looking fabulous.

This bread maker is fantastic!
This bread maker is fantastic! It’s very easy to use, even for beginners, and the results are always great. The bread comes out soft and delicious every time. I love the wide variety of programmes — you can make all kinds of breads, doughs, and even cakes. It’s a really handy machine and totally worth it!

Easy to use.
I absolutely love this machine. Ive been using it now for a couple of months and all bread cooked has been consistently excellent quality. Infact I wouldn't entertain any shop bought bread again. The machine is very easy to use, although I do find the display screen a little small so it's probably best to make sure you have good lighting wherever you place it in your kitchen. The nut dispenser is very useful, when I first heard it suddenly open I did think I had done something wrong, but no problem now I'm used to the sound when it opens. Some of the smaller nuts sometimes get left behind so does need wiping out when it happens. It is quite heavy but as I don't move it that's not a problem. I gave it a four star because I'm finding it hard to find recipes for this model. I am new to bread making so consequently I am still learning. The information leaflet does come with several basic recipes but some are for the SD-YR 2550 and the SD-YR2540 in particular the spelt, rye and granary recipes require a special kneading blade which does not come with this model. Other than that I am extremely pleased with this machine and highly recommend buying it.

Panasonic SD-R2530KXC - A great machine born and bread.
I bought this so we can ensure we are eating healthy bread. I have had this machine since 10 December 2024, we investigated reviews and picked this one for its versatility and the fact that its automatic, it can make standard bread but also you can add fruit and nuts, cheese and far more, to make some really nice loaves. When using the machine at first the lid seems a bit flimsy but then once you have used it a few times you realise, it doesn't need to be anything more then it is. It has one small paddle that mixes the ingredients, I thought this small paddle cant possibly mix all this correctly, I was proved wrong ever time, its amazing the bread dough is so sticky it all gets picked up by the paddle and the bread basket inside the machine is left clean enough to just wipe clean with a damp cloth. We have had great bread out of it, thanks in part to the instruction / recipe book, the Italian bread recipe completes in just 2 hours and its a great tasting standard loaf, no messing about just add the ingredients and its done. The fact that it will also just mix dough for you without cooking it is great, I have used it to make Pizza dough and that works very nicely, its also vey quiet so it can just work away in the background you want hear much at all, however you will smell it, thats quite a bonus. Its a good size as it needs to be to hold a full loaf. The price we paid £159 was good value for money and we use it twice to three times a week. The flour and dry yeast are easy to come by and sold in all major supermarkets, adding the ingredients takes 2 minutes once your used to it and in 2 hours you will have the Italian loaf, other loaves can take up to 4 hours. I would add a photo but really Amazon need to add a scratch and sniff facility, Im baking some now and it smells great. I would highly recommend it, just check that the Panasonic SD-R2530KXC has all of the features you might require, its great for us.

Does the job well
Would customers please note there is a long delay on some programmes appearing to start. I thought it was faulty. Nothing in instructions about this. I am sure I am not the only one thinking this. Makes lovely bread. Very quiet. Small digital window and large in size but does the job well
