Zoya Mini Kit

After years of "regular nail polish" and gel polish abuse to my toenails they got so ugly that I couldn't go without polishing them. It became a vicious cycle of having to use the very thing damaging my nails to cover up the ugly, damaged nails. My toenails look like someone has taken sandpaper to them and scraped off the surface, leaving them dry, white and discolored. I have even lost part of one of my big toenails. In my quest to stop the cycle, I found Zoya and decided to give the mini pro kit a try. Yes, the bottles are small but check out your nail polish supply and tell me if you don't have 20+ half used reg size bottles of polish that are years old. These small bottles are actually the perfect size. I was interested in this product mainly because it is "5 free" but also because it claims to actually improve nail health. I haven't been using this long enough to say that it is improving my nails but I can say that it is doing no further harm to them, at least aesthetically. But I do want to share a few things about this kit: 1. There are nine little bottles in this kit and all of them can be used for something different. READ the instruction pamphlet before you begin using so you know the recommended order of what you should use. Example: If you have discolored nails you may want to put a coat of the lavender on after the base coat. Then, hold the colored bottles up to your nails to determine which one best compliments your natural color. 2. If you are wanting colored nails, this is not the product for you. This kit is intended to make natural nails look healthy and nice. The colors are transparent when applied but the color you select does make a difference in the outcome of your look. I love the natural look, so this is perfect for me. On my toes, I do a coat of naked base, a coat of satin seal to fill in ridges and uneven areas, a coat of lavender, a coat of the pink/beige, then of the white tip perfector and satin seal. The result are nice, evenly colored, shiny nails. If my toes were in your face, you could still see that they aren't in great shape, but for daily wear no one would ever notice. 3. I use Karma Naturals organic oil and lavender polish remover (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G7S424O/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and it works wonderfully to remove this polish. I will continue using this kit until winter, and then I will go completely polish free all winter to try to nurse these piggies back to health. But in the meantime, during sandal season, I am super thankful for this kit. I've even been using it on my fingers. It never seems to chip and really does make my nails look nice.

I am 75 years old and gave up trying to keep polish on my nails years ago, as the polish would chip within a day or so--just not worth the effort. Recently, needing to travel for a friend's memorial out of state, I had a professional gel manicure. I remembered how much I like having my nails look nice, but the gel, which needed to be peeled off, wrecked my nails. I started researching other products and decided to give this system a try, due to it's not containing the toxic ingredients. Oh my goodness! I would give this a higher rating if I could. I also bought the mistletoe collection of polish colors (full size bottles for way less than buying individually), and all of it together lasts a week to 10 days. Admittedly, I'm more careful of how I use my hands when my nails are done. But this system has really worked well for me! The drying drops are utterly amazing. I am puzzled by the experiences of the negative reviewers. I wonder if our individual body chemistries, or different suppliers who may send outdated product, may make the difference? At any rate, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive with these products. The picture is 5 days and holding. 11-6-18, This is an update. The four newly added photos with white background are day 10! Yes they do need to be redone, but there is not the obvious large chipping that so often happened with other products I've used. Again, I used the whole system here: manicure set and polish, as directed. I applied an additional coat of armor coat after the first couple of days; others I've read recommend cotinuing to do that every few days, but I haven't had a need to preserve a manicure for a specific amount of time. All in all great products! I do think some colors may be more durable than others, and I tend to stay with softer shades, but all in all great to have a manicure that lasts and strengthens the nails.

I love a nail polish that is neutral and just accentuates your natural nail. The Zoya Naked Manicure perfectors do just that and it’s the best polish if you don’t like gel but want a long lasting polish. I am hard on my hands and nails and this last 2-3 weeks. This set is the Perfect way to find the color that works best for you. This is the lavender with the base coat and matte top coat.

TL;DR: Good choice if you're looking for polish with fewer harmful chemicals and a less intense nail polish scent. Not for you if you need allergy-free or scentless polish. My partner has always been sensitive to the smell of nail polish and it seems I've developed a sensitivity as well. I tried painting my nails a few weeks back and was super dizzy and lightheaded before I finished. After a lot of research to find polishes that don't require a HazMat suit, I came across this brand and one other. I liked the color range of Zoya better (400+!), so I ordered this kit and a four-pack of colored polish (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H281V4V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Pros: - The basecoat and topcoat both went on super easily. - The dry drops are a little oily, but my nails were completely dry in under 15 minutes (dry enough to do things in under 5). - The colors are gorgeous. Mia, the second shade, had almost full coverage after one coat and full coverage after two. The color also went on super easily. - I'm only on day two, but typically by this time I've chipped even anti-chip polish really badly. So it's impressive to me that it's holding out. This kit claims 14 days, I'll update with how long it actually lasts. Cons: - The bottles in the Color lock kit are super tiny. The remover is travel size and the basecoat, topcoat, and dry drops are somewhere between travel and sample size. - While they don't smell quite as bad as other polishes I've used, they still have that nail polish scent. It didn't make me dizzy, light-headed, or cough, so that's a bonus. Nor did the scent hang around or cause my partner to seek me out to ask why I was doing my nails when he was home. But it's stronger than I was expecting and was nowhere near being scent-free. All in all, I'd recommend this. It's at least somewhat healthier than other brands, the color palette can't be beaten, and the application is great. Just know what you're getting yourself into. Update: the polish started chipping after 4 days. Not the worst, but not the best either.

This color lock kit is AMAZING! I paired it with a Zoya nail polish and my manicure lasted almost a full week with barely any chipping, and that's with heavy duty washing and cleaning every day. The key is letting each layer fully dry before moving on to the next step, don't rush it! I also recommend using it with Zoya nail polish since it barely chips on its own. Together they are a dream team ♡. 10/10, will definitely buy again!

I bought a Zoya color that I love, but just used whatever Revlon quick dry top coat I had and the polish started to chip within 2 hours. So disappointed because I looove the color. Anyway, I thought I would get a mini of this system, though I didn't have high hopes. I used it on my toes this time and the color is staying put. Then I used it with an OPI color and it's been about 6 days and it's only just starting to have tiny chips at the very tip. Even decent color last me a few days max, doing dishes always is the killer. I've washed dishes every day and I'm so impressed with the staying power. 6 days is fine, since after 4 I get tired of the color and want to switch it up anyway, lol! Happy with it so far...

This is high quality polish! And I really like this kit. The small bottles are perfect. I don't ever, ever use an entire bottle or regular size polish. This goes on and stays on, doesn't chip easy, and stays shiny. I've always liked this brand, but this is the first kit I've bought from them.
