Get the bait out there when its needed
Love the Berrypro rods. They are a great bargin considering the quality of the product. I exlusively use Berrypro rods for saltwater fishing. The fit and finish is more than anyone can ever expect at this price point. I own many other rods that are significantly more expensive and have not held up as well as these. This 12 foot rod looks great i love the color. I mostly own spinning rods but have to say this rod will not be the last one i'll pair with a casting reel. I'll order one or two more soon.

great
I like this fish. It's great in itself, good quality and easy to use. I always use it to fish now.Amazing rod ! I own about a dozen surf rods, including Okuma, daiwa,St Croix and other famouse brand rods.I purchased this Berrypro super panther surf rod because i was initially attracted by its beautiful design. Until i received it,I was surprised by its light weight but powerful pole body, the blank is strong and elastic, which could be comparable to those famous brands. Another detail is also impressed me deeply , nearly all the guides were protected properly by pearl foam,You can see from these details that they are really serious about their product. I have been surf fishining for many years, this rod is really awesome and amazing . Really unbelievable that such an excellent quality surf rod can be bought at such a friendly price. Recommend this rod to every surf fisherman.

Perfect For Large Species and Surf
This 10'6" pole is awesome. Put a 4000 Pen Pursuit iii on it and it's a match made in heaven. Very aesthetically pleasing. Rich purple/maroon coloring. The grips are thin in comparison to most surf poles which, from my experience, cuts down hand fatigue. It's light as all hell, springy but sturdy. The rings are silver which takes away from the poles overall look but they're solid. If you surf fish or pier fish for larger species such as stripers and halibut (I'm on the West Coast/Bay) I recommend this pole...Will update on performance after a Hilbut trip on Monay.***Update*** Took it to the surf and fished for striper and perch. I didn't catch any fish but I threw a snare on and dragged in three keeper dungees. This poles a keeper!

NICE
Very good rod. I buy one or two every year. I now own 5 of them. They are all 12' in length. These rod are used all the time in saltwater conditions. These rods are a little stiff to cast. So will take some practice to use. But with small wieghts "3oz" and a smaller baits. "Shrimp" and proper technique. a 75 yard cast from the surf is easy. 100 yard cast from the beach is achievable. although in rough conditions I'm usually throwing out a 6oz spider wieght. The sensitivity is amazing. A five inch whiting is easily detected. Can handle a 50 pound black drum with ease. I'm usually targeting specs from the beach and does a hell of a job with those too. These rods are not toys. They are elite tools and should be handled with care. If you have them riding around in the bed of the truck. With looses tackle boxes and coolers banging into them. They will break. If this is how you handle your rods. This is not the rod for you. These rods are not fiberglass and have porcelain eyes. Made for sensitivity and hard fighting fish. Not to be thrown around. Hope this is helpful.

It seems to be a nice study rod
One of the best fishing rods I have very bought and I can wait to use it at the coast. I just love coastal fishing because you never know what you might reel in.

Love this rod!
Love this rod, I thought it might be overwhelming because I always like smaller rods, but at 10 feet this is a superb light weight and durable rod, not needing a lot of effort for casting distance when you need it. I use a 3 or 2 oz lure with 20 or 50 lb. braided line; it's up for any challenge. As mentioned on my other review, I intentionally purchased both this carbon fiber and a graphite rod for surf and pier fishing; I'm happy with both, they have both equally met the fishing challenges I've put them through so far.

Excellent surf or pier rod
This rod is very well made with great attention to detail. The continuous twist in the foam around the butt, means you have a grip wherever you grab. Due to the light weight I can last longer while casting lures for mackerel or tuna from the pier. The butt is thinner than some, and therefore fits nicely in any rod holder. The eyes are strong, smooth and well placed. I paired the 10' medium heavy with an Okuma ABF-65b and it's very well balanced, providing great casting distance with smooth retrieval.
