The Blue Knight looks great!
I got a cute statue from a niece at Christmas and the blue knight is just the same size. He comes with a sword that is in a separate plastic bag. You then place it in his hand through a hole made for it.

Fierce warrior!!
I just recieved my blue crested knight and he is awesome and makes a great addition to my Lion coat of arms army. with his eagle crested helmet wearing his family's crest of the eagle, he carry's a great sword of the flamberge class. Scolars often question the use of the flamberge blade, flaming blade in refferance to its wavy design and often serrated edges. But anyone that has fenced against a flamberge knows exactly why its designed like it is, When your opponent glasards with a flamberge blade it damn near rattles your own blade right out of your hands!!! The flamberge also has flukes on the ricasso of the blade these are placed there for half swording something far removed from todays fencing. The wavy bladed flamberge was used by the largest and strongest swordsmen on the front line. Each curve on the blade creates another point of percussion these swords were huge and designed to cut the heads off of halberds & pikes and soldiers mounted on horseback. History has recorded that the Flamberge Landersnecht a special troop of double paid soldiers were placed on the front lines with these giant two handed blades and some soldiers were reputed two have killed multipule opponents with one swing of thier sword. The Landersnecht created a monster when they assulted a friendly farmer of giant proportions and killed his wife and burnt his farm to the ground, his name was Pier Gerlofs Donia. the assult turned the friendly giant into a killing machine and the huge frisian went berserk. although he didnt use a flamberge he did use a two handed great sword it now sits in a mueseum all seven foot and fourteen pounds of it!!! Before the Landersnecht raised his estate to the ground the giant farmer would entertain spectators by bending coins between his fingers and lifting horses over his head. Google him he is one of history's most colorful people. you can also find info on him under wikapedia's sword page.

Amazing details, detachable weapons
We love the detail of the Papo brand figures which we have been collecting to be used with our wooden castle. The removable sword, axe and shield are neat features. They are however, made of lighter weight plastic which can bend and break more easily. They are small enough that they can easily get lost. We still prefer a popular, higher quality brand but this is a lower cost alternative.
