Bottle & Jar Cutter-

it is a glass cutter but not real happy with it.

Not a good product, cheap plastic material it didn't even cut the thinnest of glass.it was a Waste of money

I have yet to use my Armour bottle cutter since it doesn't include the oil which is necessary for it to function. How hard would it have been to include a tiny plastic vial of the stuff? I feel like a kid who just received a new electronic toy that to my dismay has the dreaded words, "BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED" on the box.I fear I would have been better off getting a manual glass cutter with self-oiling capability and just scoring bottles by hand. I'm still going to see if I can use this thing, but not to make any of the HIDEOUS projects included in the 34 page joke of a manual.Jo-Anne's is also a disappointing company. This is not sold in stores, so my only option was to wait a week and a half for it to ship. The credit card charge also didn't go through for 5 days. (This was ordered from their website, in order to take advantage of the 40% off promo code)In short, I was hoping for a decent quality product and received something that was rushed to production sometime in the early 90's. Someone please take this back to the drawing board. And throw in some oil while you're at it!

Bought as a gift, hoping it does as expected

My whole family tried to use this prduct. We fully understand how this is supposed to work, it just doesn't. We got it put together correctly and did plenty of research on glass cutting and this product itself. The score line is not supposed to be deep enough to cut all the way through, but you should actually be able to see the score. In the official video sent out by the company, the man still made and used an ugly uneven and dangerous cut as his final product. We tried many different bottles (beer, wine, and an extra large wine bottle), and many different places on the bottles. Nothing worked. Every time we scored the bottle it would slip easily and score unevenly. The guide at the bottom does not help stabalize AT ALL. When we did get a near-perfect score line, the "tapping method" created an extremely uneven line. We tried tapping at different strengths and everything, nothing worked. We also tried the hot and cold water method (not mentioned in the instructions) but the score line just was not deep enough. Even when you're patient and fully educated on how to use this product, IT STILL WON'T WORK. Don't waste your time and money on this product. Greenpowerscience.com sells a different glass bottle cutter, which is what I'm going to try next. Hopefully it works better! I haven't found any other brands. I don't think theirs cuts jars, though.

This product is not worth the effort to order. Didn't manage to make a clean cut on the half dozen bottles we tried.
