I looked at the former models before purchasing this one. The former looks exactly the same but has this fun spoon.Complaints of the lid never coming off seems to be a common complaint.When I travel with this I screw on the lid but when it's not in transit and just sitting around with its revitalising contents(tea), I untwist it slightly. They may have fixed the previous issue but I am not chancing it.Another issue that I did not see was the lip of the container. When tilting back the contents you wish to consume the metal lip is very thin and turns hot instantly. Burning your lips if you do not cool the contents correctly.Stays hot long enough for me, which is 2 hours.Personal rules I use while dealing with this item:1) allow filling contents to steam while in mug before placing lid on top.2) leave lid slightly unscrewed when not moving.

I was expecting the spoon to be made of wood.

these are nice but they dont keep food hot for very long. put porridge in, after 2 hours was cold.
