Fantastic Audio Quality and Windows 11 Integration
Are you tethered to your desk all day and need a solid pair of headphones with excellent voice quality over a mic? Poly Voyager Focus 2s offer all that and immeasurably improved voice quality over competitors, like WH-1000MX5s, which are forced to use low-quality, terrible mic quality in hands-free mode because of Windows 10 and 11 driver limitations. Hands-free headphones without a dedicated mic, like Jabra or Poly, have absolutely rotten quality that's unuseable for recordings, Teams voice chats, and basic use. I've put Poly Voyager Focus 2s up against the Jabra Evolve2 65s, and the Jabras got sent back. That was after a sad fail on the WH-1000MX5s that had beautiful sound and horrendous voice quality. THE GOOD Holy cats, these things work easily right out of the box. Turn them on and bam, my Windows 11 laptop immediately picked them up without hesitation. Connecting to other Bluetooth devices was effortless. It synced up beautifully with MS Teams and my coworkers reported excellent voice and sound quality lacking in my previous set of $200 headphones. Poly's over-ear design is comfortable and great for long-term wear. I am extremely leery of rotating headphone designs (Jabra Evolve 65s consistently break for me on the boom) but the construction seems to be better and sturdier with an unfortunate rotating pivot. Time will tell if they hold up to daily but gentle use. The boom's solid construction and great placement avoid getting entangled in long hair, earrings or literally in your mouth from unfortunate design (hi Jabra). I love the feature of auto-mute when I push the boom up. Recording quality has been excellent when using Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate, SnagIt, and Adobe products. It's had little issue adapting for different sound volumes or programs. Poly excels in noise cancellation and the Voyagers are great. While *I* hear the garbage man outside while my landscaper's mowers and blowers are running loud enough to be heard two provinces over, my coworkers claimed not to hear a thing. While I could still hear the general roar of noise outside, if muted somewhat by whatever noise cancelling these have, they didn't and that was important. These keep a long charge. The tilted stand isn't my favourite but it's a good design that rarely falls over and the headset charges very quickly. It uses a single side input between the earpiece and the headset itself, so I'm not sure how long-term durability will be on that. Suggestion: Make sure to keep the Poly dongle in the USB port for maximized call quality and clarity. I've not tried the headset much without them, but it makes a significant difference for range and quality. THE BAD The one- or two-second pause when the Poly headphones sync up with my laptop's sound. This has challenges when I'm doing fine-tuned audio work, like cropping sound tracks, and requires me to either leave longer pauses in my recording or flip to another headset for that portion of the work. I haven't found a way to overcome this setting. OVERALL: 4.5 stars

Clear Calls and Comfort with Minor Mic and Dongle Tips
The Poly Voyager headset is a fantastic choice for anyone doing sales calls or spending long hours on the phone. The sound quality is clear and crisp, which helps me stay focused and professional during every call. One of the best features is how well it filters out background noise. It blocks out distractions so well that my calls never sound like a noisy call center, even if I’m working in a busy environment. The headset is also very comfortable to wear for extended periods. I can keep it on all day without any discomfort, which makes a big difference when you have back-to-back calls. That said, there are a couple of things to watch out for. The mic connection can sometimes drop if you move around too much or don’t position it just right. It takes a little getting used to, but once you figure it out, it’s no big deal. Also, the tiny USB dongle is super easy to lose, so I make sure to keep it somewhere safe when I’m not using the headset. Losing it would cause major interruptions and frustration. Overall, the Poly Voyager is a solid, reliable headset that really improves the sales call experience. The comfort, sound quality, and noise filtering make it worth dealing with the small quirks. If you spend a lot of time on the phone, this headset is definitely worth considering.

Good headset, great sound quality, poor noise canceling.
Title pretty much sums it up. The noise canceling in this headset is very weak, and sidetone is a bit muted as well. Overall it's a good headset and worth the money. It's also very comfortable. However, if you work in a noisy environment, the Jabra Evolve2 65 has much better noise canceling for only a bit more money (though trades off a bit in sound quality. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the Focus 2 sounds overall, despite the weak ANC).

awesome headset
Awesome headphones. It has everything you need: sound quality, a mic with noise canceling, and a decent amount of features that will come from a professional headset: the ability to connect it to 2 laptops and 1 phone, seamlessly switching sound from one source to another: music on one and the calls on other. I've returned my jabra 65 flex because the level of comfort was not as good as on this one. Yes, they might be lighter than focus 2, but this headband is making you forget that you're wearing the headphones. Plus poly has switches, not buttons which allow you to see is on or off. Cons: anc doing its best but it can't be as good as in monitor headphones. Mini-usb port.... The workaround for it is with a magnet cable for these headphones, your mouse, your ear pods, and a wireless charger for the phone (for those who travel alot). Edited: a couple more software issues. Bluetooth not good as it was on Focus 1. If you have 2 notebooks connected by bluetooth, one of them would be constantly dropping off. That wasn't the case with focus 1. The lost of connection leads to the inability to pair. If your personal laptop has been disconnected, but you are about to receive a call... you must start the pairing process once again. Well, focus 1 could handle 3 devices. Focus 2 is capable of firmly operating with a single device via a dongle. The second device needs to be paired via bluetooth.... and I'm absolutely not sure, that a phone would fly as a third device. Focus 1 could do that.

V2 is better than the already great V1
Updated review - 7/3/2024: At some point months after I started using it, the Focus V2 would constantly disconnect on calls only. I tried everything including just connecting to the phone and not the laptop at the same time. It does this wherever I am - on the road, in the city, in the country. No problem staying connected when listening to music/videos, etc. on iphone or laptop. The headset became useless for calls. I asked for a warranty replacement and after thorough testing, they gave it to me. Same problem. I bought another bluetooth headset out of necessity since I use this work, and it stays connected with no issues. Also, the old Focus V1 works fine, no problems staying connected. It's something to do with this model, so I can no longer recommend it, dropping from five star to one star. I used the Voyager Focus V1 for many years - it's been a great headset, and is still going strong. I needed another headset, however, and decided to try the V2 version. the first one I received would not connect properly via bluetooth. It would say it was connected, but then as soon as the caller answered it would disconnect - while still saying it was connected (some other reviews allude to this problem). I returned it for a replacement after a couple of weeks of frustration. The replacement has worked flawlessly since I received it almost three weeks ago - I've used it daily, usually multiple times a day. The key V2 improvement over V1 for me is that the sound quality is better - both what I hear and how others hear me. The sound is crisper, so words are a bit more intelligible. Again, V1 was already great - but V2 is the improvement I didn't know I needed. Add to that improved battery life and bluetooth range, with a fit that feels very similar to V1, and you have a winner. I noticed many reviews surfacing an issue with how V2 replaced the V1 tactile on/off switch with an electronic button. Poly must have addressed this, because my phone has the tactile on/off switch - it's totally fine, as functional as the V1 switch. I also notice some reviews complaining that the volume level function has changed to up/down buttons on V2. I have zero issues with this, it works fine, just as easy to use as on V1, although now I press buttons instead of turning something. I don't use ANC, so can't comment on how good it is versus the virtually non-existent ANC on V1 - it's definitely better, but I don't know if it's good enough for those who need this feature. All in all, I'm very happy with V2 and would buy it again if needed.

Awesome Work-From-Home Headset
I'm pretty sure this is the best pair of headphones I've owned so far. Here are the main pros: 1. They are extremely comfortable. You'll notice they sit on your ears a little differently, and that is because they are naturally bending to fit the shape of your head. I can wear these for hours with zero pain, whereas my previous headphones would start to get really painful. 2. The mic noise cancellation is awesome! Granted, I combine it with Slack's noise cancellation settings, but that said I can literally grind coffee and it doesn't get picked up by the mic. 3. The battery is quite good considering what it is doing. Cons: 1. The noise cancellation (as far as what you hear) is fairly minimal. If you're looking for total isolation this is not the headset for you. For me, I don't really like to be totally isolated so it's not a big deal. It definitely eliminates sounds like my computer fan, but not so much voices in the other room (they are just muffled a bit). 2. There is a glitch currently when I happen to be sitting in silence with no music playing (in fact it happened while writing this review). Suddenly the noise cancellation stops. This can feel jarring because you do get used to the quieter environment. I'm not sure what causes it, but I do know that once you start playing sounds or music again it resumes the noise cancellation. Other Note: There is a fairly minimal delay when using the wireless dongle. Nothing huge, but if you are gaming you might notice it. Fortunately, if you plug in the USB cable you can get sound with no delay, so it's really nice to have that option! All in all, this is about the best value for the money you can find for a great work-from-home headset that won't break the bank!

Great headset, poor dongle
I had a great prior office experience with the Plantronics 4220 headset, so when they failed after two years of use, it was a no-brainer to try the same manufacturer again. After some research, I decided to try the Poly - Voyager Focus 2 as an upgrade, with Bluetooth 5.1, for about $220 delivered. The Voyager 2 is comfortable on the ears, and the noise reduction is very noticeable, although it probably removes too much bass from the Teams conversation. The recharge stand is attractive and convenient, compared to plugging in a USB cable directly, although the latter remains an option. Like the 4220, these also work with a dongle, and also control the launch and mute on Microsoft Teams. However, to my surprise, as soon as I moved just 5 feet away from my Windows 10 laptop no one could hear me talk anymore. The new dongle appears to be vastly underpowered compared to my previous headset, which used to allow me to move from room to room while carrying on conversations. Even when sitting directly in front of my laptop, if I turn my head the wrong way I would suddenly find people complaining that they were losing my audio. I finally figured out that if I connected directly to my laptops Bluetooth, these distance problems went away, and I could move quite far from the laptop and still be heard. But without the dongle, I was no longer able to control Teams to mute or perform other functions, except when I raised the microphone boom to the vertical position, which would auto-mute Teams. I was happy to pay the premium price for fully functional headset with Teams control, but less so for a poor dongle, and limited functionality, which I can find in a decent $50 office headset. If you are looking for a great headset with great sound, and you can pair these with your built-in bluetooth and avoid the dongle, go ahead. Otherwise, I would urge Poly/Plantronics to fix the dongle - or better still just add the Teams functionality to a dongle-less configuration.

Versatile and works well for office and home use
I bought this myself to use with my work laptop rather than the wired Poly headsets I buy for our employees. I already had the equivalent Jabra headset that Jabra sent me free a couple years ago due to the volume we used to order from them, but I wanted to give that to my son and get something as good or better. Comparing the two, there are a few things I like better about this headset, and some I don't. Likes: - Metal band feels sturdy and flexible without being too tight or loose on my head. - Mute button AND mute on raising mic (with a caveat, see cons) - Easy volume control - Charging stand - Price when compared to that of the Jabra headset with some of the equivalent features. - Dual connection both via Bluetooth and wireless dongle. - Battery life I did 3 full days at work with this with no charging in between and playing videos and having meetings all day and on my fourth day, now at home for work, it still said "Battery High" when I turned it on. Dislikes: - Mute on raising mic. The dislike here is that, unlike the Jabra, you have to raise the mic completely vertical to mute, and the act of raising the mic is somewhat noisy with a plastic rubbing sound that may or may not be heard on the other end. The Jabra only requires a slight lift of a couple inches and is virtually silent when lifting it. - Noise cancellation isn't that great. I still hear everything going on around me and the noise cancellation barely muffles any of the sound. I don't usually bother turning it on for that reason. - Pause on removing the headset. While a nice feature, I find it unreliable. If I'm watching a YouTube video, and I remove the headset, half the time it doesn't even pause and the other half it does. I'm also sure that the YouTube window has the focus every time. So far, this is a keeper and hopefully I will get years of use out of this headset.
