After Gastric bypass surgery these are excellent to take, ease of use because you don't need water to take them. These vitamins have a powdery consistency, but it tastes just like a candy that I used to have when I was a child it does not have a horrible smell either. the size of it is not bad because as you suck on them they basically melt in your mouth. I love Barimelts vitamins, all of them. A few do break up in bottom of bottle but that doesn't really bother me. it's benefit versus risk. There are benefits in taking a vitamin that I like the taste of, I don't worry about a few of them chipping off, I really don't. I prefer this over having to swallow large vitamin capsules or swallowing pills at all.

First off, a lot of reviews are heavy on how bad the flavor is. It is not that bad. I am not sure what people were expecting from a supplement, but I've had far worse. And that is coming from someone who takes as many medicines and supplements in chewable or powder form as possible because I have great difficulty in swallowing pills! It's a mild berry flavor, mild sweetness and it doesn't linger after it's dissolved. The texture isn't bad either, slightly grainy but doesn't leave a film in my mouth. It dissolves pretty fast, too. The tablets aren't large. I will not say it has or has not helped me. Each person is different in how a supplement will impact them, there are a lot of factors to weigh in. Keeping that in mind, I will describe my use experience. I have IBS and need something that is gentle on my system, that is why I chose this. I've tried several other probiotics and they cause negative reactions, even when starting on a small dose. I had a little bit of mild increased symptoms the first few days of this (I started with half a tab for 4 days), but they weren't bad and went away. I feel confident in saying they are a gentle option. I like the flip-top lid, makes it easy to pop one out.
