I'm both a wine maker and a wine snob. I was looking to upgrade my wine glasses to a universally excellent glass for better tasting. These exceeded my expectations for the price. The most important aspects for me are the angles of the glass, the width of the body and the thinness of the lips. This glass is perfect in those aspects. It concentrates the aromas to your nose (angle), and it is wide enough to aerate the wine in a reasonable amount of time without over exposing it and losing all of the unique tasting notes (balanced bowl width). The biggest aspect, and the main reason why you should pay a premium for wine glasses, is the thin glass lip. It is essential in order to allow you to suck on air as you sip the wine, which totally opens up the wine and gives the most accurate profile of the wine. The lip on this glass is as thin that I think it can be without being totally impractical to use for fear of shattering. The only con of this glass is that it is a little top heavy for my liking, but that's a very small con that I don't even notice now that I'm used to it. In short, these glasses compete with those of over twice their price and are of extremely high quality. I would highly recommend them to anyone who appreciates their wine. I use them daily and put them in the dishwasher and have yet to break a single one in a month, which speaks volumes to their quality.

They seemed a little larger than I was expecting but they're a perfect shape! The thin crystal adds to the high-end feel.

I love the shape of these guys. Really wanted some with that kind of RHOMBOID thing happening. We had only ONE stemmed wine glass left because I KNOCK STUFF DOWN So I did not want to spend a lot. Just enough to get a slender, graceful set of wine glasses in this shape so that I could have like, an adult over without shame. Party before this I was like, "Do u want a cute blowfish mug or a Star Trek mug for ur wine" and I sold it as like I was being kitchy but no, everything was dirty and broken and I was hanging on by a thread. These have been in my posession now for SEVERAL months and NONE are broken so that's cool. Yeah I've even put them in the washer. I'm careful in the washer but it's a washer and they're still good. Someone mentioned that these were "cut" and not "rolled" and I now understand this to be true; the edge, the VEEERY edge where you put your lips is like, not as sophisticated as it could be. But it's still a super-thin edge so that's some Sophistication points back. That, plus the price and durability - evens out. Cool glasses. I think Imma go have some wine.
