Vitamin D3 Drops

This is sunshine in a bottle. The difference it has made this winter is nothing short of amazing. I don't buy into health supplements and all the crazy claims that some products put out there, but after being told by a doctor that I should consider using this, I tried it. Like I said, the difference it made after about a week of using it is nothing short of amazing. If you fight the winter blahs or have had blood test that show a deficiency in vitamin D, this is the best stuff out there. It has no taste. I had also tried some stuff with other vitamins and fish oils and lemon zest and blah blah blah, but after a few weeks of that, it makes you want to puke. This stuff is flavorless, and it goes down easy. I do a third to a half a dropper full per day. It's fantastic!!

We are repeat customers, I think 6 or 7 times now. Always receive the product quickly. We use these drops for my grown son with autism who doesn't swallow pills, and it gets mixed into his yogurt or applesauce. The seller is friendly and there have been no issues. I really like the ease of use. I've been told by my dermatologist to always use a liquid vitamin D and not a capsule. The liquid is easily absorbed and it doesn't have any additives such as food coloring or other chemicals. The only thing I would say about this is that if you put the drops in a glass of water sometimes the oil beads stick to the side of the glass and you lose out on your dose. What I have been doing is just putting the drops under my tongue and then drinking a glass of water. The oil has no taste at all and I have found that it works best to do it that way. Also, research has shown that vitamin D is essential in immunity and I came down with a cold last week. It was so mild and cleared up within 2-days. I'm convinced it was the vitamin D. I live in Minnesota and get seasonal depression but even after the time change last weekend my moods seem really level. Oh, and I have NOT been paid for this review, AND I paid full price for my bottles. This is a winner.

I wanted to wait until I get my follow up lab reports back before writing a review. I have always suffered from low Vitamin D and was shocked to learn that it was at an all time low-15. My doctor recommended me take 4000 IUs per day then get rechecked. I had been using another liquid brand because it was the only one that did not have soy (along with other "junk" and fillers) I avoid in the few supplements I take. Of course they changed their formula and now include Vit. E sourced from Soy. In my extensive search, I found this product that met all of my requirement...no Soy, no preservatives, no other "junk" and fillers. Great price and sounds good, but will it increase my Vit. D levels. YES, YES, and YES! My level tested at 43! I will continue using this product and give it to my son. I also received emails from the company and there was a note in the package. It's the little things that really stand out for me. Thanks for your commitment to an excellent product that works!

Update 12/2024: Stopping by again because I recently ordered more and wanted to update my review. I’ve been a consistent user of this product for many years now. I go through one bottle every month to couple of months, depending on the time of year, health issues, and exposure to communicable illness. I take it year-round, but I take extra high doses any time I’ve been exposed to illness like the common cold, and when I’m having an autoimmune flare up, and also in the wintertime. (Always consult a medical professional for guidance on dosing!) Pro tip: Make sure you eat something fatty when you take Vitamin D3 because it’s a fat soluble vitamin, which means your body metabolizes it with fats and makes it more effective in your system that way. A big sip of dairy milk, a spoonful of nut butter or some coconut oil would do the trick if you’re not able to take it around a full meal. I love the relatively neutral taste and that it’s odorless, and that the oil doesn’t make my throat feel scratchy like certain kinds of cheaper oils do. However, I’m removing one star because the dropper lids have been an issue for quite a long time now. After opening the bottle initially, it seems like everything should be fine. However, the lid never screws on fully ever again, which causes leakage. I tote it along with me in my work bag every day, but it’s wrapped in a paper towel and placed inside of a ziplock baggie because I’ve had major spill issues with it. I also have to try to keep it upright which might not always happen. I find this quite frustrating and wish the company would find a different manufacturer to use for their bottles and/or droppers. Not only is it a waste of product, it’s terribly inconvenient to have to clean up and fuss with all of the time. However, I prefer liquid Vitamin D3 so I can take it sublingually as it has greater bioavailability that way, and as stated, the taste and smell are fantastically neutral, and the vitamin itself seems to be of high quality — so I will continue to be a loyal customer unless they change their formula or some other really major issue occurs. I actually now work for a vitamin and supplement company myself, and although we don’t carry a Vit D3 standalone product, we do carry a line of immune support supplements in glass bottles with dropper tops. Guess what? Not only do they *not* leak, they screw on fully. So I know it’s possible. lol No shade for this company, as I said I’ve been a loyal customer for years and will continue to be. I love this product and am super grateful for it. <3 _+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_ Update 11/2022: I’ve been using this product for several years now and have purchased it many times. I continue to appreciate the consistent quality, the product itself (as described in my original review below), and its relatively affordable price, compared to similar products, and with current inflation. Vitamin D helps me feel more awake, alert, and boosts my energy. I notice an improvement throughout my day after taking Vitamin D. In general, Vitamin D is very beneficial for a lot of reasons, so I’m thankful to have access to this product that makes it easy to take daily. :) I just stopped by to freshen up my review, add support for this business, and add more Vitamin D to my shopping cart. :) _______________________ My item arrived on time, carefully packaged and in new, sealed condition. I'm a Vitamin D advocate, and living in the Pacific Northwest, I'm severely deficient (plus I have health issues that interfere with vitamin absorption), so I just take a dropper full daily, which is ≈5,000 IUs, according to the label. In the wintertime, I usually take a couple of slightly smaller doses spaced throughout the day. I think the taste and consistency are both great. That is to say there really is no flavor at all, which I'm very appreciative of! It's slightly more viscous than water, but not heavy like oil. For those who struggle with such things, you could easily add your dose to a drink, like coffee, a breakfast juice or a smoothie, and probably be none the wiser. :) Chris, the owner, sent a personal message to inquire about my satisfaction with the product. I was very impressed with this personal touch, especially coming from an Amazon/online order. These days everything is so automatic and impersonal.
