Game changer...!
This is the best cart. I live in a condo with parking via a skybridge to a separate parking structure. We have large, heavy duty steel carts within our building to use. However, you have to a) get your groceries, b) return home, park go into building and get big heavy cart (if they are available) go back out to car, unload your stuff, roll up to your unit , unload and then return the cart. With this CLAX I grab it when I leave, roll it into groc store once Im there, then roll to car and put bin and cart in. This cart is so much easier than grocery cart to navigate. Once i get home I pop it open, place the bin on cart and roll up to my unit and Im done. This cart is so sturdy, and easy. I wish it would come with a cup holder!! We all need cup holders!! I might use it back and forth on Seattle ferries etc. Best purchase ever and worth every penny. Dear CLAX please make a clip on cupholder for our drinks!!! don't second guess yourself regarding this cart. Just get it. Big thumbs up.

Extremely helpful independence aid
Purchased item to increase independence for an autistic adult with severe anxiety, so they could confidently and independently do their shopping while also using paratransit or ride share. While pricey at $300 or so, this item looks to be made very well and we anticipate it lasting a long time. The fold/ unfold is easy enough to do one-handed. When folded it is small enough to store next to the fridge or near the door. It fits in our trunk (versa sedan) or in the footwells of the back. The crates are easy enough to open/ fold for storage. They also keep the user mindful of how they will get the groceries into the car/ house, so the user isn't overwhelmed by the work required. It is smaller than a typical shopping cart found in the store, but is lighter and easier to maneuver (one handed if needed). We are also using it to take multiple trash bags out to the dumpster. By flipping up the top shelf, the bags can be stacked several high (we use a bungee cord to hold them to the frame) and wheeled away without as much risk of bag tearing while en route.Very pleased with the item.

Easy up, Easy down! Steers like a champ! Might be bulky for some to lift.
I am correcting this review from four stars up to five stars. I have used it several times now, and finally figured out that it has two handle settings! I didn’t feel like it leaned back far enough to keep me from kicking the wheels while I walked, so I was walking beside the cart most of the time instead of behind it. It was still a wonderful cart worth having, but slightly annoying in crowded situations. I finally figured out that when the cart is done unfolding, it is on its tall, upright setting. You push the button again and pull back on the handle a little, and it adjusts to its “shopping cart” position that you see in all the pictures. No more kicking the wheels while walking behind it. Now I am a very, very, happy shopper.I bought this cart because I am new at Costco, and their carts are way too high for my short frame. I will also be using it for an elderly woman I take grocery shopping because we need to get her groceries from the the car and up her driveway hill in just one trip. Lastly, I will be toting music books to and from the car into nursing homes for our choir outings. Two other "utility" carts have failed to be able to handle the terrain. This one looks like it might do!So, I just got my new Clax Shopping cart. Easy assembly right out of the box. Just attach the wheels! Little picture card shows instructions on exactly how to do everything for everyday use. It took me longer to figure out the card than it did to assemble the thing—about 5 or 6 minutes total!I saw some reviews about taking the wheels on and off for every use. I do not plan to ever do that. It sits perfectly upright in a small amount of space if you just leave the wheels on. I plan to leave mine in the trunk most of the time. Then it will be there for a quick stop any time something comes up. It also fits easily between the seats if the trunk is full, but the maneuvering is a little tricky the first couple of times. So, I took it out for a test run, and here is what I found so far.PROS: 1. Easy Assembly. Open and up in less than five minutes out of the delivery box!2. Easy open: Easy Close. Ten to fifteen seconds at the most! It only takes that long because lining up the basket with the base of the cart takes longer than all the rest! The mechanism seems to do all the work for you with very little effort. I do agree with another review that the button might be too hard for arthritis people, but I believe that it needs to be enough pressure that it cannot be done accidentally. I wouldn't have even noticed if it had not been mentioned. Also, the weight of the cart might also be too much for arthritis folks, too. It is only 21lbs, but the shape makes it a little awkward to lift up. It has a very sturdy metal frame. This makes me believe that it will last me for years to come.HINT/TIP: It is easier to work with the tie-downs if you pull by the round part underneath the support instead of pulling from the top. You really don't see these from the top. At first, you have to place your thumbs on the top of the tie-down and reach underneath with your fingers until you get to the rounded edge and pull out and up. I will be adding a video later, when my son can help me with the camera.3. Easy to steer! Wow! This thing turns on a dime and weaves in and out of "traffic" like the pro it is! It didn't "bounce" over the speed bumps in the parking lot--just glided right over. I admit that I haven't filled it up with its maximum weight capacity yet, but I have gotten it quite full. So far it is amazing to steer!4. Seems very sturdy! Love the larger wheels that look and feel like they will last a long time. The solid frame is heavy enough to be strong and durable.5. The braking mechanism is WONDERFUL! Wide, easy "step-on" brake holds cart very firmly while unloading, even on slightly graded parking lots. Then just lift up with your foot from underneath the brake to release. Love, love, love this brake!CONS: 1. It seems impossible to get a second basket for the bottom! I waited four months for the extra basket option to come in before ordering the cart without it. The company has pushed that date at least three times that I can see, and they still are not available! I have purchased a fairly large grey bin for the bottom, but it doesn’t fit neatly like the original does on top—very frustrating! Of course, I realize that this might be more of a Covid supply chain issue than a company issue, but for customers it is hard to tell the difference. My bin sits nicely and does the job, but I am still waiting for a second basket that will collapse nicely like the top one does.SUGGESTIONS: 1. When you get the spare crates in, send a notice to everyone who bought this cart so that we can order them. It would also be nice if you would give us the lower cost that we would have gotten had they been available when we bought the cart.2. Add a little picture on your instruction card of how to get the cart into the two positions for the handle. Conclusion:All in all, I am very happy with the cart itself. For a little “mini” cart, it can hold quite a bit. I can get a whole case of Costco toilet paper on the bottom shelf with no trouble! Set the brake first so that it won’t roll while you’re sliding it on. Just try to get a regular wire cart to hold still like that!

Perfect for urban shopping
I live within a short walk of a large grocery store. I've been using one of those vertical shopping trolleys for hauling my groceries home -- and while I still prefer that trolley for shopping trips that involve taking the bus, the CLAX is so much more convenient when I can walk. I just push it to the store, fill it up, pack my purchases back into it as I check out, push it home -- right into the kitchen -- and unload it. It folds up easily, and fits nicely into the coat closet. I'm also pleased with how well made it appears to be. Feels really sturdy, and the design is brilliant. Yes, it seems expensive, but it's worth it.

Awesome useful cart!
Awesome contraption making this old couple's shopping hugely easier. We live in an apartment, and this cart takes us shopping without lifting heavy items, takes us back to the car, into our underground garage, up the elevator and into our apartment. It folds easily and fits easily into our Honda CRV, and unfolds as needed just as easily and back into the car for the next shopping trip. Everywhere we shop, people ask us about it. One lady went onto Amazon as we spoke and ordered one on the spot! It's great!

Loving this cart!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I picked this product because it seemed to have more functionality than others and I liked the construction for those times when I need to do heavy grocery shopping. It also works really well for tranposrting large return items. It’s stable, convenient, very functional and lightweight. I am a caregiver so I no longer have to be concerned about wiping down the store carts or finding one, for that matter. When I’m done shopping I just place the crates in the car and fold up the cart and place in the trunk or car. I also love the kick stand feature for storing upright. This is just an awesome product!
