Be sure to take your blood pressure medication
I’ve spent hours per day over the past month playing this game on a PS5, and I have to say it’s a truly astounding effort. In the beginning there were a couple of things that had me consider rating it only four stars – there’s no saving the game before attempting some perilous moves, you can’t remap the controller buttons, and it’s challenging even in the easy difficulty mode – but the exquisite graphics, amazing gameplay, and reasonably compelling story makes me now say it’s truly a five-star effort. The parkouring involved is absolutely sphincter-tightening and vertigo inducing; imagine jumping from ledge to bar to another bar to a metal ladder along the outside of a twenty-story (or higher) building, and you’ll get the idea. Hordes of zombies will chase you through streets and ruined buildings both day and night, but at night you’ll be challenged to find a safe UV-light haven to get some relief and build up your resistance to infection. You will fall/die/get killed a lot of times (and by that, I mean hundreds of times), which can be frustrating because you’ll be spawned at the nearest safe location (and you’ll have to retrace your steps to get back to the place of your demise, which can be difficult to recall exactly where you were after parkouring across multiple rooftops) in this vast, open-world urban setting. There is a lot of adult language and situations throughout, so it’s not really suitable for young kids. I played the Standard Edition in single player mode, and it was pretty much bug-free. I highly recommend this game if you like first-person shooters.

Terrific Game...Very challenging
Dying Light 2 in my opinion is one of the best games I've ever played. As an open world experience, it is certainly one of the biggest expanses ever offered to the game playing public. I've enjoyed improving my ability to move through vast distances, enhanced by climbing, a grappling hook, and a gliding ability. There is really a whole lot to love about this game...particularly for fans of apocalypse. The weaponry is sensible and the fighting engaging. The grappling hook, achieved a ways into the game is fun and useful, but was much more engaging to use in Dying Light 1. The graphics are sterling, the open world is amazingly creative, and impressive as all hell. The zombies are always fun to splatter and the volatiles difficult to bring down. My biggest beef with the game is that for an average player, many of the climbing puzzles are somewhat too difficult. Game playing is supposed to be fun. Playing on "Easy" should make it a snap. I have no use for sequences that frustrate me into hours of repetitive attempts. I shouldn't have to be video game scientist to avoid being stuck so often. Players without superior game playing experience will find many sequences difficult to overcome. The story lines are sensational. My grandson is also playing Dying Light 2, and having chosen a different line of decisions, is playing a considerably different game than I am. You can therefore play this game twice, almost, with a different outcome.

Stay away from haters with poor reviews. Dying Light 2 is very good!
Based on many user reviews (critics has a general rating of close to 80% positive) online, I was worried about this game. I have played through Techland's original Dying Light and LOVED that game! This is the kind of content I am here for which is open world, apocalyptic, undead madness. Critics slammed the game for poor voice acting and repetitive gameplay. I think the issue is here that Dying Light 2 is very close to the Last Of Us 2 world settings and overall style. The first thing I noticed was how much this fell into the Last Of Us 2's mold, and that is NOT a bad thing but something to aspire to. Regular user reviews online are focusing on spamming this game with poor reviews based on some odd notion that certain spoken languages were excluded from the game. The actual gameplay mechanics and visuals of this on PS5 are breathtaking. I do not play PC and have also heard poor reviews from that community complaining that the visuals are not up to par with other titles. To be clear, Dying Light 2, from my current playthrough is only a few hours in and I am overwhelmed and consumed by this world. I love it so far but and only giving this 4 stars, which is very good, because I have a lot left to explore and may have to re-rate my experience later. If you have a PS5 this is a must own. Ignore the reviews if you are here for an open world experience with undead (and human) threats at every turn. UPDATE: (Change from 4 to 5 stars) ============================ I know this is a great game when all I think about when not playing it is when can I play it. I want to skip work or the gym just to play this game. I LOVE this game! It is all consuming. It is what I commonly refer to for a great game as a "time bandit". When you play it for hours on end and it feels like minutes have passed. I just cannot pull myself away from this game. So much to love. The dark zones and new approach to leveling up and getting enough daylight so you do not turn into the undead. Just great! All great! The combat and mechanics are an improvement on the original Dying Light. LOVE THIS GAME!!!

A nice a game at a great price.
The game is great, only -1 star because the disc came loose in the case so it could get damaged in transport. I git it at clearance price , that is a plus, and all recent updates are installed without issues. The game looks promisin and with enough to do to last long. Happy with my purchase.
