Damn sturdy cord. It is thick and covered in rubber. I have never seen anything as good as this. However,... I'm not sure if it is my device or the cord. Some cords work fine with my Google Pixel C tablet. Other cords cause my tablet's touch screen to not work right. Contents will display but it does not allow touch. Most cords don't work right. Including this one. This is a well known problem with the Pixel C. So I have to unplug it if I'm using the Pixel C. I understand the specifications on the cords have changed. According to many google channels most USB cords don't have the up-to-date wiring specs. Maybe this cord is not up to the spec? I just don't know how to test...

Currently the 16 foot 10 Gbps version of this cable is $55 which is $25 less than the Quest Link. This makes it a good comparable alternative. However, like the Quest Link it maxes out at 3A / 5V charging which will not keep the Quest 3 charged if you have Wifi on and are running native games. With Wifi off, no bluetooth devices, and offloading the work to a PC it will still discharge but slowly enough that it will typically last 5 - 6 hours or more if not indefinitely. I have seen some other cables of this length that claim 20 Gbps AND 100 Watt PD Power Delivery charging or higher but I'm skeptical particularly since they are the same price or less. Cable Creations reasonably trust worthy brand for cables. You can see in my speedtest results using a Samsun 990 Pro and 20 Gbps Maiwo external enclosure it maxed out the claimed 10 Gbps speed of the cable even at 16 feet.

love this brand for high quality cords and cables. this one is VERY thick and feels solid. it might be a bit *too* thick, but i'd rather have that than a cable that bends and twists itself to death. works great for PCVR and any other sort of USBC -> PC needs. this one is specifically better than the kiwi one because i can use it for my phone, too- the tiny bit of extra length at the actual plug lets it clear the bottom of my phone case, which the kiwi cable did not.

I have been using this for over a year and half now. As all cables do, it is starting to twist up and get tangled. But I’m terms of actually using it, it’s great. No fraying, cuts, melting, and the tip is still in good shape. It still supplies enough power to my Quest 2 VR headset and data transfer so I can use it with my computer. Even after all the beating it’s taken. My cable goes through a lot more stress than what most people would do it as well. Will be buying this one again when the time comes.

Unfortunately I tripped over one of these cables & broke the part that plugs into the VR headset. But since I bought two, I used the other one, but the second cable has disconnection issues & repeatedly loses connection & regains connection frequently. Went past the return period for the second cable, so cannot return the defective cable. Falling back to older CableCreation cables that I still have. But to clarify, the cable I tripped over worked well beforehand... Such a shame.

meta has some nerve charging the $130 for their branded cable (mine had damage after a month of careful use) I purchased this cable as it had good reviews and the price was great, but I was skeptical. The cable works perfectly I get the same data through put as the meta cable and it also charges the headset during use. the only negative I can think of which is also a positive is that the cable is extremely sturdy and has a quality feel but it is also a touch heavy and stiff so sometimes while in use i can feel the cable pulling on my head or resting on my back. After several months use it is still like new and performing well unlike my expensive meta brand cable that lasted a month.
