Line cutter, recommended
Great for cutting line, wish the sheath could also be attached, we lost one of them and can't find a way to replace it Regardless, perfect for removing fishing line from coral and the ocean

Great safety item
These are great to keep on your BC and works great for cutting fishing line you find tangled in the reef or getting your self untangled in a pinch. It is easier and safer than the traditional big dive knife and a lot easier to carry. It is small enough that it mounts easily to the straps on your BC and can be used as a back up for your dive knife or if you find marine life tangled it removed the risk of cutting the animal.

A very important piece of equipment
This is such an important piece of dive equipment. It is made well and it is an acceptable piece of equipment to bring diving even when you are in marine parks, and other areas that do not allow knives. This is great for untangling line and easily fits anywhere on your gear.

Hard to remove
These line cutters work well, and it’s nice not having to worry about rust. They’ve performed reliably in the water so far. The only real issue is how difficult they are to remove from the sheath. I carry two of them and have the same problem with both. A dive buddy of mine has one as well and was surprised by how tight it is. I understand not wanting it to fall out, but with Velcro already holding it in place, it feels a bit like overkill. That said, I’ve removed them several times during drills and have always been able to get them out after a few tries. Just something to be aware of if quick access is important to you.

Gets through TSA
Have only tested it underwater during a drill, but seems to cut just fine. Compact and easy to remove from the pouch when needed. I fly to dive destinations, so I wanted something that TSA wouldn't have an issue with. It has passed through 20+ scans without a problem.

Great Travel “Dive Knife”
TSA had no problems with me flying with it as carry on. Great fishing line cutter. Narrow opening makes it safe for fingers, but it would not cut lager items such as rope. Mounts easily on shoulder of BCD.

Dive Rite just can’t miss.
What can I say? It’s exactly what we’ve all come to expect from Dive Rite. The Hires family continues to make products that they stand behind. This cutter is simple and works great. It doesn’t have any silly frills but does everything you’d need it to do. Keeps it simple and does it right! My whole family has one of these attached to their BCDs.

Great quality
I purchased two of these, one for my partner and one for my BIL. We all enjoy diving together and I love getting us new little gadgets. We haven’t used this line cutter yet, but the quality feels great, and it looks great too! I feel more comfortable diving with this tool than a super sharp dive knife.

This line cutter is perfect for my needs. I'm usually snorkelling around piers popular with fishing and a bulky knife would have end up annoying me and getting left in my bag. This line cutter weights almost nothing, has a really low profile and compact size that will easily fit within a pocket or can easily be attached to a weight belt. I put it to good use for the first time last weekend and it goes through line with ZERO resistance. The shape makes it really easy to hook the line and nearly impossible to accidentally cut anything else. The construction contains no metal at all so no rusting and (hopefully) the blade will remain sharp for longer.

Second one I purchased as so pleased with first. Ceramic blade is brilliant idea, very sharp, the screws/bolts seem to be stainless. After 40+ dives in ocean, basic rinse end of day, left out of pouch to dry, it is still in perfect condition. Cutting capabilities: we tried on variety of webbing & line that commonly seen in dive environment, cut through everything easily, of course then we tried cutting just about everything we could think of & found if it fits in the blade gap it will cut though. Pouch fits on wing harness as very accessible. Very pleased. Good design. Well done!

I like to have pretty stripped down scuba set up and this is perfect. Small and fits exactly where I wanted it. Also bonus it’s about £15 cheaper on Amazon from any of the UK based stores.
