I bought this unit on Amazon about 6 months ago. I started having problems with it about 2 weeks ago where it would automatically switch inputs on its own in the middle of shows being broadcast from my Satellite DVR to my TV. When I unplug the unit from the power, the channels stop switching and I can hear audio (which is fine for listening to news programs when I am doing work around the house) but of course without it being plugged into power the video does not appear on my TV monitor. It took me a while to troubleshoot to rule out I didn't just have a bad cable or worse yet a bad port on one of my devices (i.e. DVR receiver or TV monitor). After troubleshooting and bypassing the HDMI box completely, I determined that it was the HDMI switch box that was the culprit. I would not recommend this product. It should not break after only 6 months of use. Also I noticed several other reviewers complained of similar issues with this product.

This is not an elegant solution. This must have HDMI ghost in it. I have this setup with a Blue Ray Player a Media Streamer and a cable box. and while watching a blue ray it will swap sources to the cable box or streamer or vice versa. I have disconnected it. worse money i have spent in a while.

It might just be the compatibility with my tv but it had issues with some of my devices and auto selecting the wrong input when I was not plugging anything in and only watching tv. It also seems to have some kind of feedback issue with devices that use power detection and sleep modes.I'd probably look for a difrent connector if I get fed up with this one

Product makes TV blink every few seconds. Possibly defective product. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. It also switches sources when using a different remote, ex DirecTV remote or TV remote.. Then I have to use the switchbox remote to put it back on the source it was on. Very frustrated

Great product!
This product did exactly what I needed it to do. One of my HDMI ports on my TV no longer worked so I was left with one. I was able to connect other devices (surround sound, video game console, etc.) to my tv and change between them with this product. Awesome! It even came with a remote. It was plug-and-go.

Very nice build quality. Stays put even with several HDMI cables dangling out of it. Does the job quite well.
