Perfect Everyday Lead—Simple, Strong, and Reliable
I absolutely love the MayPaw Slip Lead Control Leash—it’s become my go-to for daily walks with my German Shepherd. The design is smart and practical: it’s fully adjustable, and the sliding tab keeps the loop securely in place, which gives me just the right amount of control without constant readjusting. The length is perfect—not too long or too short—and the leash itself feels durable, sturdy, and well-made while still being lightweight and easy to handle. It’s especially great for quick walks or training sessions where you don’t want to mess with a separate collar. Highly recommend this leash for anyone looking for a solid, simple solution.

Great product! Well built!
Even works for my 3 mth old 5.5 pound Jack Russell Chihuahua! Sturdy, fast, simple, long enough to give space. Doesn’t tangle. Great for a house lead, training lead to signal to your dog it’s time to train, or an everyday walking leash. I have this leash for eight months now it started as a training list for my German Shepherd husky when she was 25 pounds and grew to 50 pounds. Now I have a new Jack Russell Chihuahua and this is a great all around these for her that came out of the closet and auto retirement and still going strong

Fits our needs
I'm a big fan of slip leads. I have one dog who will not wear a collar. I think a shock collar was misused on her. Maybe shock collars just suck I don't know if never used one. So if you put a collar on her, she kind of runs and hides until you take it off she will act like you are standing there smacking her. It is really sad. She will wear harness but she still won't be happy about it. Slip leads are a happy medium. How I have no idea it still goes around her neck. But it works. And on top of that it helps her with walking if she happens to be pulling too much. I also have a dog that has a tiny head that goes straight into a neck. She can wiggle out of just about anything you put on her. We have this one vest that works as a harness because it's tight enough around her chest. She literally slips out of everything with that tiny head. However, the slip lead, only tightens if she pulls on it. So she can't get out of it. I just made it sound like she's a terrible dog. She isn't. But if she wants to get away, she generally can. This little Chihuahua, she got some cojones. She has ran up to Dobermans. Not a good idea. She thinks she is the biggest baddest little thing in the world. So we got to keep her safe and make sure she can't get out of nothing. Anyway hope you enjoyed my little stories about my dogs :-) but this product is great

Ouch my hand!
I recently purchased this MayPaw Slip Lead Control Reflective Leash with high hopes, and my initial impression was quite positive. The thickness of the leash felt substantial, and the reflective material definitely adds a layer of safety for night walks. As someone looking to train my dog to stop pulling on the leash, I was optimistic that this would be the solution I needed. My dog tends to pull with noticeable tension but isn’t completely dragging me along. He still responds somewhat to my direction, pausing when I stop walking – a behavior I appreciate. While the overall quality of the product seemed promising, I did notice that the lead had a bit of a rough texture. I tried not to focus on this too much, as I was eager to put it to use during our walks. During the walk, I felt slight pain on my hand from my dog pulling every now and then. The leash for pulling did hold up well, and I appreciated how the proper attachment method – positioning the collar high on the neck, just behind the ears – helped reduce some pulling. The ultimate test was when my dog spotted another dog. In an instant, he started pulling with all his might, and the leash slipped through my hand, resulting in a painful rope burn. To make matters worse, my dog’s excitement didn’t diminish when we were returning home, which only exacerbated the pain from the burn. I’ve realized that the roughness of the leash material was just too much for my hands, and while I appreciate that it might work well for someone with calloused or tougher skin or those who wear gloves, it just wasn’t the right fit for me. Despite its good construction and reflective features, I ended up returning the leash in favor of a softer alternative that didn’t cause discomfort during training. I deducted two stars because, ultimately, the harshness of the material proved unbearable for my needs. If you’re someone who doesn’t mind a rougher leash, doesn't have a dog that pulls, and prioritizes thickness and reflective qualities, this product may still be a good choice for you—especially given its fair price compared to other leashes I’ve tried. However, for those of us with more sensitive hands, I would recommend looking for something softer to ensure a more comfortable training experience.

Amazing Leash, Easy to Use
This leash is a lifesaver for me and my pup. He hates wearing collars and has bitten through all my other leashes. The durability on this is amazing and not having to use a collar in combination has been a breath of fresh air.

Good for small dogs, works well on my shih tzu, but I have to put one of her legs through so she doesn't choke herself. I wouldn't use this for standard walks, only training sessions and as a last minute 'I need something to restrain my dog!'

We just got our new Lab puppy, and needed a small slip-lead to for early leash training. Although I might have liked something a bit thinner for her at her smallest size, she's growing fast so she'll grow into this in the next couple weeks. Great quality leash, it has a nice weight and feel to it. Would recommend!
