Crayola Christmas Countdown Activity Advent Calendar

I bought this advent calendar for my 3-year old. She loved it! Every day she was excited to open it and do a new craft. Way better than candy or small toys, this kept her occupied and excited for Christmas.The calendar has an assortment of some of Crayola’s products that you maybe haven’t used before. The modeling clay was fun, and I really liked the twist up crayon. Getting a new item every day was fun but I think the best part were the little activities. They were great for her to do with visitors. If you’re a parent who enjoys simple crafts but doesn’t have the time or creativity to create them yourself, this is a fun way to get into the Christmas spirit with your child. The crafts were simple and good quality and could be done in a short amount of time.

My son has absolutely loved the activities in this calendar so far. There has been a new project or activity each day, with a different type of Crayola product for each (so far: paints, scented markers, pipsqueaks, and gel crayon). He comes home from school, sits and diligently completes the projects. My one and only complaint is the box itself. The "doors" open way to easy and as I move the box around to get to the papers in the back. So far, and mind you we are on day five of this calendar, there have been three extra doors opened on accident from fingers accidentally punching through. Small price to pay for some cool Christmas activities for my son :) Consider getting this item for next year!

This calendar kept my daughter busy all through December. She was able to make ornament gifts and cards. She made decorations slo-mo scenic backdrops. It was super cute. The one gripe she had was the slim doors ripped super easy so items for future days became exposed or fell out.The packaging is printed with messages under each door which is a nice detail. There is even a trap door in the back with a special envelope containing an activity card to compliment each day's Crayola item- scented markers, window markers, crayons, clay, glitter glue, etc.

Our first year not having the traditional chocolate calendars. This is a fun advent calendar but the items can be a little tricky to get out of the box. Would also be more fun if there was a little project daily. Not super exciting to open one marker.Update: there is an opening on the back of the box that you are supposed to open day 1. It actually DOES have a daily project. You pull out one sheet each day. We missed it because we were only focused on the front of the box. Luckily my son found the door (day 17..) updating to 5 stars because the little projects look like fun and more of what I was expecting.

This is a very cute idea, but could be better-executed. The doors are numbered but not really outlined, so it’s a little tricky to make sure you’re doing the right one. And young kids can’t really get excited about big doors coming up because they blend in so much. There is a craft supply behind each door and then most days have a picture to color that you get from a separate envelope. It says 3+, but these aren’t activities for a 3-year-old. Mine is having a fine time with it, but she’s just scribbling. Finally, if it matters to you, the projects are very Santa-based.

This is awesome! Well worth the price. You would spend more money if you bought all the items separately. My four year old is excited everyday to see his suprise. I would say this is good for 3-5 year olds.The activities take about 10 minutes each for my child to do. They are however cute and creative. Most of them involve coloring. The favorite so far is the model magic snowman ornament. He also really likes the glitter glue and twistible stix he received. It's a good way to see what crayola products your children like. Next year I will buy a kit for both my kids.

I bought these for my 9 and 10 year old boys. We are 4 days into it and I've been pretty happy so far. Each day, there is a paper activity as well as a "tool". The paper is fairly heavy cardstock. The "tools" have so far consisted of a scented marker, paints, a brown marker and a red crayon. The activities have included a letter to Santa for them to write, a door sign and wreath decorating. You definitely need to have some other coloring and writing utensils available to make good use of this, but they boys have so far looked forward to seeing what they get every day.

Wonderful calendar! My daughter loved this and she looked forward to opening it every day. Made a great change from a chocolate calendar and gives them something to do every day.

Sans aucun doute l'un des meilleurs calendrier de l'avent ! Pleins d'activités sur du papier de bonne qualité (décoration, carte de voeux, coloriages, autocollants,...) mais également j'ai découvert la pâte à modeler magique que j'ai adoré !! Toutes les surprises sont de bonne qualité dont les feutres parfumés, crayon métallique, colle pailletté, ... Et j'en passe. Mon fils de 5 ans s'est régalé !!

I purchased two of these in April 2018 squirrelled them away for Christmas to promptly forget all about them for that year. In a way I am glad. My boys will be 6yrs old this January and I can see how much they appreciate the activities and bits that come in them.......completely age appropriate this year! They love everything so much it is difficult to dissuade them from tackling the daily craft activity before school each morning. In addition to a crayola product behind the doors on the first day they also get a craft pack that contains an activity to do that day with their product. They leap out of bed and, after getting dressed (that's the rule) they scurry downstairs to open the door. We are on door six and squeals of delight with what they find have not abated! Really excellent value for money there hasn't been a single item included so far that I did not consider useful. Happy happy.
