Junk, pure junk!
I bought this YiimDaifun Portable Air Conditioner unit for my girlfriend as a gift. Because of the lock-down, she started working from home. When the summer came, her building, being made from bricks, made her apartment unbearable. And to top it off, she doesn't like AC.Anyway she'd rather suffer than to use it, and in the few times she did, the usb connector broke. To make it work, you'd have to put the cord in a certain position. Of course this happened just after the return period ended so eventually it got shoved into a closet. So far, this summer in New York City has been more humid than the last couple of summers, so I pulled out the unit to give it a try.At first, all I got was a blinking red light. When I moved the cord the unit would turn on for a second, then die.I've soldered before an thought I'd try to fix it, so today I took it apart and that's what you see in the photos. The usb connector and the board are cheap and it was not repairable. If the company could give me this circuit board, dt-sk-117-b-v10 and a new battery, I could fix it instead of putting it in a landfill. My advice, by a different unit because this brand is junk.

Personal use cool air
ProsArrived today and so far very pleased. It is well made and filling up is easy. The cap on top comes off you put the ice and water in. I love it rotates and has a battery making it truly portable. Living in hot and humid Florida I was Leary it would help. I was wrong in a few minutes I had cold air and mist blowing on me.Cons cleaning will be a problem, where you store water, that does not come off and the whole is about a silver dollar size.Need to be close to feel itI would recommend this for personal one person use

Bad product, bad return policy
What a piece of crap. When we bought four of these, two showed up with faulty batteries that refused to hold a charge. When we tried to get a refund, we were informed that in the middle of a pandemic we needed to go physically drop them off to verify they were nonfunctional, despite the fact we've gotten easy refunds for bad orders before. Fine. Of the two that were functional, one stopped working within a week for no reason, and the other managed to eke out a whole two months until now, where the battery won't hold charge and the controls won't respond. Instead of just shutting down when out of power, it starts rotating and spitting out any water it has left and won't stop. Want to charge it for the hour it'll work after? Tough. Until a couple of hours have passed once you plug it in it'll start rotating and spitting again with no rhyme, reason, or stopping it.Worst purchases we have ever had here. Would have been better off with a regular fan, or even a hand fan. Hell, the 'instruction manual' it came with worked better for keeping us. Utter and complete garbage.

IT HAS A POOR MANUAL TO OPERATE IT OFF OF
POOR MANUAL WITH TERRIBLY SMALL WRITING AND DOES NOT TELL HOW LONG TO CHARGE IT FOR. IT SEEMS TO LAST 2 HOURS ON LOWEST SETTING. IT DOES SEEM TO COOL YOU OFF THOUGH JUST TERRIBLY SHORT TIME.

Nice cooling tool as a personal devise.
It works very well as a personal devise. It needs to be near you. I was annoyed at first because it didn’t have a plug just usb until the power went out and it was 91 degrees inside. The battery was charged, fan kept running and provided some relief. The reservoir empties slowly do it can run a long time before needing to be refilled. Have only had it a few days so can’t speak to how long it will last, but it’s small and will be easy to store.

Mostly works well, but needs annoying workarounds.
The cooling functions worked quite well. But after only a month, buttons do not work, battery does not hold a charge. What a waste. But it is unreliable, which won't do in 100+ degree weather. Returned item.UPDATE - I've realized that you have to not only have it charging, but must ALSO turn it off, in order to build up a battery charge. Then it works, though the lit controls still get confused at times. It's a shame the instructions didn't mention the battery issue. But the cooling basically works at this point, and it's hot, so I'll hold onto it rather than return it.

Works, hope it last and it is pricy
A nice indoor portable ice maker only cost me $120. Compare with the productivity, this small fan to me worth only $40. Bought it only cuz i hope this machine with last longer than cheap 20 dollar fan. Lets see how cost and benefit goes.

Fails to recharge
After about 2 or 3 months, the cooler would no longer recharge so it doesn't work anymore. I would have returned it to the manufacturer but I was too slow on taking care of that business. Never really liked it much because it depends on refilling the water tank which often caused spills. If I was to buy something similar again, instead, I would buy one that uses ice packs instead.
