Nailbiter: The Murder Edition Volume 1

The novel is absolutely beautiful, pages are glossy and colored wonderfully. It’s a pretty solid read, interesting mystery and is well written in my opinion. Good addition for any horror buff and keeps you engaged.Why the three stars? Because I received it with denting on the binding, corners, and cover of it. There were scratches on the cover of the book and the packaging was in shambles. Now, I understand that it passed through many hands before arriving on my doorstep but this item is a hardcover edition and should have been treated as such. That was the point in my spending extra money to get the special hardcover.If you know your products have a rough journey ahead of them take better care when packaging. Bubble wrap, maybe thicker plastic around the novel, cushioned envelope, something.

Loved the series, when I first read it, so getting the 2 Murder Editions was a no-brainer, especially when they're so cheap. The phyiscal quality of both editions is also fantastic, so they're displayed prominently on my graphic novel shelving. Well worth it. Hope the 3rd edition comes out soon.

Nailbiter is one of my favorite comic series, so naturally I was thrilled when I found out they would be collecting the first two arcs into a beautiful hardcover. This book is gorgeous, just like the series itself. If you want some high-quality small-town terror that ramps up at a perfect pace, check this book out!

While I was happy to finally get my hands on a copy it arrived kicked to crap. Scratches, dents, and a weird glue type substance on the cover. The kicker? Despite being listed as like new on amazon the sticker has it listed as used good condition.

Great series, and a great format.

this is my first horror / detective kinda book and I loved it one of my favorite series the art is pretty cool too

Excellent book and such a cool story. 16 killers have been born and bred in buckaroo. The question is, why buckaroo? Well that's the mystery everybody is trying to solve. The story flows a fast pace and there is never a dull moment. Each mentioned serial killer is a fascinating one. The hardcover edition is impressive, larger artwork and plenty of extras. I recommend picking this up if you are a fan of Dexter and a fan of the crime/horror genre.

One of the most enjoyable horror graphic novels I've ever read. These murder editions are splendid as well, can't wait to pick up the other two.

I bought this blindly, thinking the story would have some depth and maturity. It doesn't and is PG at best. Feels like the story and it's resolution are being played out unessecarily to create volume. It's not completrly terrible though, don't get me wrong, it just feels more like a primetime CBS show than an HBO show.Physically speaking, this is a beautifully biund book and I would have cherished it until my end of days had I equally loved the story

Cover, Kritiken und Prämisse versprechen mehr, als die Story letztendlich halten kann. Als großer Serienkiller-Story-Fan war ich jedenfalls sehr enttäuscht, wie parodistisch und lächerlich die Geschichte rüberkommt. Sechzehn Serienkiller hat die Kleinstadt Buckaroo bereits hervorgebracht, jeder einzelne davon lächerlicher als der vorherige...da gibt es einen Luchador, der seine Opfer mit Wrestling-Moves tötet, eine sexy Blondine, die Cat-Callern die Zunge rausschneidet und auch der namensgebende Nailbiter, der nägelkauenden Opfern die Finger abbeißt - allesamt wirken sie eher als wären Sie besser in einem Horrorbuch für Kinder oder einer Parodie auf Serienkiller-Geschichten aufgehoben. Der Art-Style trägt sein übriges dazu bei und wirkt ebenfalls sehr kindlich, zu bunt und nicht wirklich furchterregend. Alles in allem sehr enttäuschend, trotzdem werde ich mir wohl auch den nächsten Sammelband zulegen.

I purchased the first two murder editions and was pleased with the look, quality and story. Can’t seem to track down the 3rd and final edition. Not sure if it’s out of print or not. Keep that in mind before you buy the first two.
