Great and easy replacement. Same as what came when new.Watch the prices! Now it is half of what I paid just over a month ago. Noticeable difference changing the filter. It was long over due.

I got an incredible 7 years out of my first air filter that came with the refridgerator, so it's a bargain indeed. There's no reason to buy a copycat product, as the factory one fits and is accepted by the fridge.Some notes you should know: 1-it's easy to install; just open the 'hatch', replace the old one, close the hatch, and then re-set the filter monitor on the panel until it is green; it will beep twice. Do that again to turn off the beep/beep that went off when the old one failed. (Re-set means to hold down the re-set button on the fridge panel.)Word to the wise: I set it up, it was fresh and greenlit on the panel...THEN a power failure. It beeped again as if it were burnt out. I called the factory and they said to re-install it as if it were new. If that doesn't work, unplug the fridge(turning it off alone does nothing.) Then re-set it to stop the annoying beeps. Remember always that the 'beeps' could be merely a warm fridge, so give it an hour before re-setting.

This makes replacing our filters easier, quicker and a little less money.

Necessary

I like these filters but wish they lasted longer and cost less. I usually get 2-3 months out of the filter before the light comes on and says it needs to be changed. I let it stay in for a week after before I change it just to get more value out of it. Easy to install and does not shed. Does not leave any marks on my hands or inside the compartment. I recycle these with my regular garbage but not sure if that is the proper place to recycle.

Not much I can say about this product other than it works well and the air in our refrigerator never has had a problem. The refrigerator will tell you when it's time to replace the filter but I've found you can probably get an additional 2-3 months worth of use without compromising its effectiveness.
